Chapter 3

Five years after the events of Chapter 2

"We found him," yelled an Anbu in a dog mask. "Yeah, how long has the village been looking for him, 5 years. It is hard to believe someone so young could evade some of the Leaf's greatest Anbu for so long," said another Anbu who was in a dog mask. "Okay let's report this to Hokage-sama," Dog ordered. Immediately they all disappeared via shunshin.

One week later at the Hokage Tower

Minato's POV

' I am so happy that Kakashi and Tenzou were able to find Naruto. How could he just run away? It makes no sense, it makes even less sense that he was able to escape and hide from my best Anbu for so long. He must've been kidnapped. Maybe it was that Kurama person he told us about the night he disappeared-' his train of thought was disturbed by Naruto who was just waking up.

When he woke up he was in a white-room, definitely a hospital room, surrounded the Namikaze Family and the folks from Ichiraku's. The look on their faces were mostly those of worried people except three people. His siblings. The look in their eyes was one of pure anger except for a little girl who was about the age of four. She looked really confused. She had bright blonde hair and violet eyes. She was wearing a yellow shirt with the Uzumaki swirl on it and dark blue shorts. 

Naruto could tell that his 'biological parents' had been busy and that he had a new little sister. How he wished he could save her from his corrupt family. "Jiji, Ayame nee-chan, is that really you guys?" Naruto asked as he grinned a genuine smile. The old man let out a sigh of relief as for the last few years he had been expecting the worst. Before he had a chance to say anything, his daughter Ayame beat him to it giving the blonde a hard punch before squeezing him to death in a hug saying "Oh how we have missed you Naruto. Please don't leave us again." "Nee-chan when did your mood-swings suddenly become so strong?" Naruto asks her.

"Don't worry, I'm home and I am not leaving anytime soon. I promise," Naruto says re-assuring his older sister figure. "Naruto, where did you go? We were worried about you," I say. 

Naruto's POV

"Hokage-sama, I decided to leave the Leaf village with Kaa-san so that the villagers would not attack me again-" I was interrupted by Kushina, "But Naruto, I was in the village. I didn't leave with you. I don't understand," Kushina says slightly curious to what I was talking about.

"Yes Lady Kushina, you were in the village but I wasn't referring to you when I said Kaa-san. I was talking about Kurama-" I was interrupted again but this time by Menma, "How dare you! She is your mother so why won't you refer to her as your mother. You should also making up lies like that. I bet this Kurama person doesn't even exist and stop lying about the villagers you demon," he yelled out his voice laced with venom.

"No, you shut up you brat," surprisingly it was Jiji who said this, "I have seen first hand what the villagers have done to little Naruto. In a way, I am happy he left this village. I couldn't take seeing such a young child being beaten up for something he didn't do. And you *he says pointing to Minato* you are a failure as a father and as a Hokage. If you really are the leader of the village then how come you didn't know what they were doing to your son, YOUR ON FLESH AND BLOOD-" I interrupted him before things escalated, "It's okay Jiji, honestly I am fine."

"Hokage-sama, to answer your question Kurama is the Kyuubi. That was her real name as Kyuubi no Kitsune is just a title. I met her on October 10th five years ago. She was who I considered my true mother and if it wasn't for her, I would've lost my sanity ages ago. I decided to leave the Leaf until I was strong enough to protect myself. We were to come back as soon as she got all of her chakra back, but they were some.....consequences. Everybody always has one soul sealed in it. That is always how it has been. So when her soul was sealed inside of me, my body and soul tried there absolute best to take care of this. Hence why my hair turned black and my eyes turned crimson red with slits. But that wasn't enough. Slowly but surely, our souls merged into one and so my Kurama is gone. What you didn't know is that a spirit like Kurama can't just die so every time Kurama dies she reincarnates. Normally this is good as it is a form of immortality unless you consider the fact that every time she/he reincarnates, she/he loses the most of their memories. So it is like starting from scratch and now she has reincarnated in the body of a male. All of this happened four years ago and she finished the reincarnation process last year. He is a lot angrier than he used to be but he still looks the same only that he is a bit bigger. He fully remembers me, but it is still weird in a way," I say as I sweatdrop. 

'No wonder no one could tell what gender Kurama was. Her/His gender was always shifting. It is so complicated," I thought to myself. 

"It's not my fault Kit, blame old man six paths for creating this stupid reincarnation cycle. What the hell was he thinking, then again he was in his last moments so maybe he wasn't thinking," Kurama said again.

'Since when are you awake at this time Kurama? You're normally asleep all day and night and only awake for like two hours,' I ask, clearly shocked that the fox was awake.

"Well, I was asleep up until the point you started talking about me. What can I say, the look on your faces when the cycle is explained to you is always so funny. *Yawn* Well I better get back to sleep," Kurama says as he falls into a deep slumber.

'Lazy-ass Fox,' I think to myself before looking at everyone. 'You know what he is right, the look on there faces is so funny,' "Don't worry, it took me six months to understand everything myself. Anyway, I would like an apartment and also be enrolled in this year's graduating class so I can get missions and pay for the rent," I say to my so-called father. Finally breaking out of his train of thought about the Kyuubi, Minato asks, "Naruto, why don't you come and live with us. We could train you in everything you need to know for the academy as they are going to graduate in a week. It will also make it easier for you so that you will not have to pay the rent all the time."  

Quickly the temperature in the room drops, as it loses its once happy atmosphere. Everyone's attention turns to me as I give the Hokage a deathly glare, "Hokage-sama, that place is not my home just like none of the members of the Namikaze family are my relatives. I am Naruto Uzumaki and as you have seen, I do not bear the title of Namikaze. I say it again, no one of the Namikaze family is my relative in any way. *Everything regains its happy demeanor* no one but this little cutey," I say as I point at the little girl who had been quiet this whole, "Hi, I am Naruto but you can call me Naru-nii, what is your name?" I say as I give her a big hug.

"My name is Naruko," she says as she gives me a huge grin. 'And he said I have mood swings, honestly, this kid doesn't know anything does he? Oh well!' Ayame thought to her self, "Hey Naruto, why don't we head over to the shop for a nice bowl of ramen after so long. You can even bring little Naruko with you," Teuchi offered. "Can I go Kaa-san, can I, can I," Naruko asks clearly wanting to spend time with her nii-san. Before Kushina can say anything I send her a deadly glare just daring her to say no. "Okay, Naruko. Just be careful," she says as she looks at me with a guilty look. 'What have I done,' she thinks to herself. 

Right before we leave the hospital room I quickly put on the genjutsu. My hair turns bright blonde while my whisker marks become less thick. My eyes become as blue as an ocean. "Wow that was so cool nii-san, can you teach me how to do that," Naruko asks as she hugs my leg. I pick her up on my shoulders and I say "Next time for sure."
