It was around the time when the brightest hours turned into the darkest ones.

There laid a boy with chestnut locks smoother than silky rich fabric, his smooth skin covered in bits of freckles leading to the tip of is nose down to his soft velvet lips. His eyes shined to its purest as he looked far up above at the stars in admiration. he didn't dare to tear his gaze away from the the sky, in fear that he would lose the only thing giving him light when he felt like he was being devoured into a black hole, all he could feel was darkness and sadness coursing through his veins.

Taking a deep breath, he laid on the rusty old roof with a weight of warmth surrounding his small fragile body it smelled off of cheap Cologne and cigarettes, what a weird yet soothing smell he thought as a smile gently found its way to his lips, at even just the thought of '𝘩𝘪𝘮'
His mother would've thrown a fit and dragged him by the ears all the way to the infirmary if she ever saw her "𝘌𝘥𝘥𝘪𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘳" out in the cold smelling like Marlboro cigarettes with a thin worn out sweater not to mention in the middle of December. he could already imagine the anger boiling up inside of her the manipulative words that would roll of her tongue whenever he refused to swallow those shitty placebos that we're supposedly prescription medication, while he just stood their not giving a single shit about what she had to say, it has always been this way Same ol-shit ever since his father had died when he was just a boy the memories where such a blur to him.

The sound of the phone on his nightstand tore his gaze away from the light making him sprint in through the window in fear of his mother barging in from the loud sudden noise booming throughout his room. He picked up the corded phone that rested on his nightstand and slammed it back down while mentally cursing himself for causing more noise, not even a minute passed when the boy heard that blaring ring on is beside table 𝘈𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯, sighting in annoyance he picked up the phone knowing that whoever was calling would not stop anytime soon, so he answered this time.

"Eddie kasprak speaking." He speaks quietly, all that could be heard on the other line was fast breathing and choked up sobs other than that complete silence.

"Hello anyone there?" Eddie questioned before rolling his eyes. Just as he was about to hang up a low sorrow voice could be heard on the other line. "E-Eddie" the voice spoke, Eddie noticed this voice instantly, the boy brought the phone up against his ear once again "couldn't you have called me tomor-" "their fighting again" the other boy says between a sniffle "did they hit you." He says gently although you could here the worry laced between his words. "𝘕o... I just called you because I was wondering-" "do you want to come over 𝘙𝘪𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘦." Eddie interrupts. Richie stiffs out a short cheeky laugh. "Was that not what you were going to say?." The other boy could feel the heat of embarrassment rising up to his cheeks. "Mm depends, is Mrs.K  home." Riche smirks behind the line with drying tears laying on display for only him. "Uh Ye-" "I'm on my way." The boys ears turn red "beep beep asshole." Eddie grins from ear to ear  even though his tone told a different story, you could hear a explosive fit of giggles Eddie couldn't help but Join in. "So do you or do you not want to come over." Eddie spoke "um I'm not sure last time I snuck out I got caught I- it didn't end well let's just say." He laughed "well come over anytime you want to Richie I don't m-" "𝘌𝘥𝘥𝘪𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘳 ? who are you talking to?" The woman's voice booms through the hallway right outside his door. "shit, i'm so sorry Richie i have to go but if you decide to come over I'll be waiting." He mumbles quickly hanging up the phone not giving the other boy a chance to say his goodbye.

As comforting as it was to the boy, In panic Eddie quickly ripped the sweater off his body and throws it under his bed while making his way towards his bed and laying down, just as he pulled the covers over his body a large woman with hair rollers and a floral night gown that stoped at just above her knees Barges into the room with no warning.
"Who were you talking to it's three in the morning I have to work tomorrow and you are being loud." The woman speaks with frustration in her words. "No one mama just sleep talking again." He plainly said while looking down at his baby blue bedsheets. "Well stop being so loud or You'll walk to school tomorrow." He just simply nods at the woman, not wanting to speak to her anymore not that he ever did in the first place. "Sleeping pills are in the kitchen in the first cabinet on the second shelf in case you can't sleep." She says while making her way out the room closing the door.
Eddie sighs once his body hit his bed, he stares at the ceiling full of neon stars as his body relaxed whilst he waited for the raven haired boy to arrive at his window he waited and waited almost the whole night but he never
showed.
