I slowly open my eyes and close them right back as I'm blinded by a bright light. I squint trying to let my vision adjust and I realize I'm laying in a hospital bed. My eyes scan the room quickly and I see Alex and Vanessa sleeping on the couch.
I go to place my hand on my belly and freak out when I notice my belly isn't round anymore. I jump up quickly to go look for the twins but I scream in agony as I fall to the floor.

Alex runs over and picks me up and lays me back on the bed. "Luna, it's me Alex. Relax. You can't walk yet."
"Why can't I walk? Where are the twins?" I ask panicked.
Vanessa walks up to me and places her hand on my shoulder. "When Alex found you on the floor, you were bleeding and he rushed you here. They had to perform an emergency c-section because you had a placental abruption. You can't walk due to the epidural they gave you to do the surgery. You've been in and out of consciousness since last night but the twins are in the NICU." She says comforting me.

"Are they ok?" I ask sobbing.
Vanessa nods. "Yes they are, Doctor Ramirez is running test to make sure. You will be able to see them shortly."
I sigh of relief.
"Where's the Alpha?" Alex asked.
The memories flood back in. Daniella and Dominick in bed together. Daniella smirking. Daniella pushing me down the stairs. The pain I felt comes rushing back.
"I don't know. I caught him in our bed with Daniella yesterday. I guess he wanted payback for hurting him. I don't even know if he knows I'm here." I say pained.

"What the fuck is wrong with him?" Alex growls angrily. "I'll go look for him. He better be glad he's my Alpha because I want to kick his ass!" He says leaving the room.
Vanessa comes and hugs me. "I'm so sorry Ari. Now I want to beat Daniella's ass again. Do you remember what happened?" She asked. "If it's too hard to talk about, we don't have too." She smiles sympathetic.

I take a deep breath. "After we talked, I walked to our room and found them together. He was sleeping and she was just enjoying my misery so I ran hoping he would wake up and follow me." I sob. "He didn't but she did. She told me that he was her mate and that she told me he'd always come back to her. I was going to walk away before things got out of hand and she said if I was dead, she could become Luna. That's when she pushed me down the stairs."

Vanessa jumps up shocked. "Daniella pushed you down the stairs?" She shouts.
I nod.
"She tried to kill our Luna! Oh hell no! I have to mind-link Alex." She says as her eyes become hazy as she mind-links.

A few minutes later, she looks at me. "I just told Alex everything you told me. He said Alpha wasn't in the bedroom when he looked but he said he's going to go look for Daniella." She says pacing the room. "I can't believe she tried to kill you! I can't wait to get my hands on her." She says angrily.
She walks over to me and kisses my head. "I'll be back in an hour. I need to go on a run before I mentally combust. I love you." She says as she walks out the door.

I close my eyes and start to drift to sleep when I hear the door swing up. I open my eyes and there he is.
My heart starts to tighten.
Stop it stupid heart! He broke you! I think to myself.
"Ariana, what's going on?" He says rushing to me as he reaches to touch me.
I slap his hand away. "Don't touch me!" I say fighting back the tears.

"What's the matter?" He asked.
I look at him. "Don't play stupid with me. Why don't you go run back to Daniella and fuck her again!" I say with rage.
He looks at me with confusion. "Daniella? What are you talking about?"
"Stop trying to play innocent Dominick! I saw you naked in OUR bed with her yesterday! You always talk a good game saying you're afraid to lose me, well guess what? You lost me!" I say as a few tears slip down my cheeks.
I wipe them angrily. "I hope she was worth it because she's the reason I'm here. She wanted to be with you so bad that she pushed me down the stairs and risked not just mine, but our babies lives." I growl.
