Chapter Two

I'm free at last.
I know I've been released, which comes as a relief. If Maseru had kept me, there was no telling what abuse would follow....
The sun shines far above, making Valter Falls glitter as if the waterfall was made of liquid diamonds. This is what I chose as my home. To the west I can see Entei's huge sandy cliff. His cave is almost as large as mine, but lacks the protective screen of water that guards my homeland. Thankfully, he didn't choose Myrna Volcano, as we would have to bravely leap through lava, hoping we didn't burn to death so the world would promptly fall out of balance. Thank you, Entei.
A huge mountain, devoid of snow and reaching high above the clouds, was Raikou's home. The tiger- like Pokémon liked being in the sky and I could not blame him. After all, what better home for him then above the clouds, as I learned from Zapdos a while back? (PC time.)
"Is that really Rainfall?"
"She's finally back?! After all these years?"
"I hear you Raikou, Entei," I growl from my position. "You need to practice sneaking up on an enemy better."
With a sigh, a lionlike Pokémon stepped beside me to share my view. Entei's abnormal body heat suddenly warmed up the view of the sunset. Raikou suddenly stiffened, his purple- grey mane bristling.
"Something's wrong," he muttered. "Articuno is calling for our help."
Entei shared a glance with me, his gold eyes filled with worry. Articuno never got into trouble.
"Any visual images?" I ask. Articuno is a big visual indulger. When he needs help- which isn't often- he calls us first, knowing we're the closest strong legendaries around. As for other Pokémon, well that just gets.... awkward.
"We need to go," Entei said. His muscles tensed up and he sprang down the mountain.
I was just after him. This was a brief run compared to the others I had done. As for crossing the water.....
We raced along the grassland path. People stopped and stared, and a mayor stopped his speech to look at us in surprise. We thundered on after passing the last village. It took ten minutes to get to the beach.
Without stopping, I race across the waves as if they are blue hills. Entei sort of swam and sort of waded through, the waves I flattened making it easier. I knew this was hard for him. No duh- he's a fire type. But Articuno needs our help. Even though vengeful birds that can make blizzards randomly form are quite strong, we're coming. Just in case it was...
I shook my head, watching as the shore of Kanto came into view and we left Johto far behind. Then we saw him. The blue bird dodged a powerful Fire Blast, one that could only come from one Pokémon, judging by its white form. My heart seemed to miss a beat as I fired a Hydro Pump and heard the familiar roar.
A roar that could only belong to one Charizard. Soot.
Maseru's starter.
