There was many extremes that Seungbae would go to in order to prove that he was right about something. Never did he think he'd have to go to a gay bar and disguise himself as a regular to prove that somebody's a serial killer. He knew that Oh Sangwoo was the man behind three murders now, not including the deaths of his own parents, but nobody believed him. But after interviewing the wife of one of the dead victims, he decided to go and investigate at the specified bar to see if anyone knew the victim or if they have seen Oh Sangwoo around there before.
He showed up in casual clothing, nothing too fancy; he didn't want to give himself away, he was trying his hardest to appear as a casual person who was going clubbing. But Seungbae being Seungbae, a bit impulsive and slow, that was going to be hard, especially when it came to staying in character. But since the black haired male wasn't the brightest he'd probably accidentally give away that he's a cop who was currently undercover.
He showed up to the bar and parked his car, locking the doors just to be safe. He walked inside and looked around. He saw strippers, people conversing, flirting, usual bar stuff, he assumed. Yeah Seungbae didn't do this stuff much, he preferred to drink at home, honestly. He tried his best to make himself casual by sitting next to some scrawny male with black hair. He tapped the middle and index finger of his left and off the bar while bouncing his left knee a bit. Seungbae happens to be a bit of a nervous wreck, but at least he wasn't sweating right now like he usually did when he was stressed or nervous.
Though he was sitting next to someone, he was hoping the other wouldn't make a move or anything; he was just here to question and leave and never come back to this... "Goddamn place again." The raven haired boy sitting next to him darts his eyes around the bar until they landed on Seungbae. The then hug himself and whimpered.
He clears his throat and turns his head to the man. "E-Excuse me, sir... Where are you from..?" Seungbae was thrown off guard by how the man behaved. He didn't start with a hello or a hey. Who starts a conversation by saying 'where are you from'? Seungbae shook his head a bit. He then looked over at the man, trying to be as casual as possible.
"I'm from here, Seoul, I have never moved or left this city before in my life, what about you?" He asked. Maybe he could talk to this stranger for a bit, and then pull him aside to interrogate him. All Seungbae had to do was... Not act on impulse for once.
"My name is Seungbae by the way." He decided to add on with a tiny smile. "And you are..?" He stopped tapping his fingers off of the bar table thing at this point, but his left leg was still bouncing a mile a minute.
The man smiles sheepishly. "I'm Yoonbum and I'm from here as well. I've just never seen someone like you at this bar before."
He moves a bit closer, looking up at his face to admire every inch of it. "You look really...um neat for a guy that goes to a bar." He swallows nervously. "I-I didn't mean it in a bad way of course.""Oh ... I usually don't drink much, but I do go to bars sometimes, it's just my first time going to this one." He lied, hoping it was believable. He was trying his best to not give himself away, and sometimes Seungbae's best is not enough. He never noticed that Bum moved closer to him, he also ignored the ravens comment about how he dressed. Why was he so nosy anyway?
"Oh, I know you didn't mean that in a bad way. Do you here often?" If Bum came here frequently, he probably knew about Sangwoo and that man that Seungbae suspected he killed.
Bum almost felt flattered by that question. "Yes. I come here to talk to people." Something in Seungbae knew that was a lie. The way this man was acting proved otherwise. "I don't think I've ever seen you here before. I-I hope you'll come here more often." Bum says, eyeing him down. The cop looks down at his lap, avoiding Bums creepy staring. "U-Um Seungbae... What are your tastes?" At this point, Seungbae was confused and just wanted to leave.
Seungbae's only functioning brain cell assumed Bum was talking about his favourite restaurant or food in general. He had to think for a second. "Hmmm, I'm a pretty huge fan of Chinese food; what about you?" It's not that Seungbae was innocent; he has had sex before, however, he's just a bit stupid and doesn't use dumb terms like 'taste'. Bum tried to hold in his laugh. "I-I meant taste in men." Dammit. Fucked up again...
Seungbae now wanted to avoid doing this stuff in the future. At least Bum corrected him before it was too late. "Oh, well, thank you for informing me. I don't really have a taste; as long as they are around my age, no more than 3 or 4 years younger or older, then any really really I guess." Seungbae didn't really care about that stuff, he just needed to know if Sangwoo or that old guy have ever been in this bar together before.
Bum chuckled. "That makes sense. Hey, Seungbae, would you like to go get some Chinese food since you like it so much?" He felt blessed once Bum said they should head out to a Chinese takeout nearby, because then he could be alone with Bum and formally question him. "I wouldn't mind going. Perhaps we can go now, because I have work tomorrow and I don't want to be out too late."
Bum audibly gasped. "Really? Alright, let's go!" He then hops off of the bar stool and takes out his phone to check the time. "It's only 9 pm, so no need to worry." Seungbae got up, still feeling slightly awkward here, but tried to blend in to keep from being suspicious. He walked close to Bum, but once they were outside, he impulsively acted and stopped Bum.
"Now that I got your attention," he pulled out his badge. "I'm going to question you on something. Don't worry. You're not in trouble, I just need to question you." He added on. He then put away the badge and then pulled out his phone. "Do you know either of these two men?" He asked and showed a picture of Oh Sangwoo and the man who recently went missing.
