Chapter 1

"That's him" your b/f/n said and shuddered. "He's so..strange"she muttered and continued to eat her soup.
Y/n turned and stared at the man her best friend was pointing at.
He was writing something down.
His aura was defiantly strange but he was nice and gentlemen like and he was very quiet.
But his voice when he spoke, you felt like you could listen to it all day.
You didn't tell your friend you found him attractive, she would probably laugh at you.

"Oh! There he goes! I wonder where he's off too" your friend said and pointed with her spoon.
You two watched as Satotz walked off with that silly little walk of his.

"Have you seen the way he runs! It's ridiculous" your best friend snickered. "I think he looks fine" you said and glared at her. "What? Do you like him or something?" She said and choked on her soup when you didn't respond.

"No way you do!"  She stuck the spoon back in her mouth and sat back puzzled. "Huh. I'm surprised! Satotz doesn't seem like the type of guy you would go for!"
Y/n shrugged and her shoulders sagged. "There's no way he would notice me anyway he's too busy with the exam thing and he's too serious" you sipped your drink and bit down on your straw.

"Well maybe when he's finished you could bother him then" your bff replied and sighed, she then smirked at you. "I still can't believe you have a crush on him"
Your face went a slight red and you glared at her. "Shut up"

"When will I even get the chance to talk to him? Do I even have the courage?" You thought.
Suddenly you bumped into something and the world turned sideways. But you felt someone grab your arm and hoist you back up.

"You should arrive to your destination first before heading into deep though y/n, otherwise accidents could occur and you could get hurt" you heard a gentlemen like voice say.
"Oh no I didn't" you thought to yourself.
You slowly turned your head and your heart jumped into your throat.

"Satotz..I'm sorry! I'll be sure to do that next time" you said and lowered your head.
He nodded and continued on his way.
"He..touched me.." you thought to yourself and your heart quickened. As you continued on your way, you didn't notice Satotz looking back at you with curiosity.
He shrugged and continued on his way.

You saw Satotz in the distant he was carry a small stack of papers.
"Hm. I wonder what those are for"
You wonder. You watched as he was casually walking and then suddenly the papers scattered everywhere. "What the-" you began but you saw Satotz holding cards.
"Refrain from throwing your cards at random hisoka" he turned and looked at a smirking hisoka. He walked away in snickers. That weird clown was hanging around lately. Staring at gon most of the time. What a creep.

Satotz sighed softly but emotionlessly.
He turned and you were holding all his papers.

"Um..hi Satotz..here are your papers" you said and looked away.
"Thank you y/n" he replied and continued on his way.
You felt your heartbeat quicken.
"Um hey Satotz!" You called out. He turned and looked at you. "Would..you want to uh..get lunch together sometime?" You said while feeling like the floor was swallowing you into a dark void.
"I'll check my schedule to see when I am free, as soon as I do I'll let you know when" he replied and then continued on his way.

"NO WAY!" Your best friend tackled you. "You fucking did it, you asked him!!...y/n? Hello! Are you alive?" She shook you by your shoulders.
"So did he give you a yes or a no? If it's a no I'll track him down and-"
You stopped her and smiled. "He said he would check his schedule, you know him and the exams thing"

Your best friend nodded and hopped up and down. "I'm excited for you!" You nodded and felt the rush of excitement run through you.

His schedule eventually opened up and here you were having some lunch / tea with Satotz.
You two were talking about your schedules, you got to hear about the exam and how it played out.
"Hisoka sounds annoying..he's such a creep" you muttered and shuddered. "Gon was talking about the way he was muttering today to himself, he sounds like a weirdo" you said and Satotz shrugged. "He's unique that's for sure" he said.
You noticed your friend in the distant hiding and watching you.

"What a creep" you thought to yourself.
You knew she was just looking out for you and wanted the details of what she called your 'date'
"So when do you have to lead the first exam again"
You asked. "Until the next group is ready and the application deadline ends" he said.
"Oh! I heard from a few people that whenever you lead the first exam, they are never able to catch up with you, do you really walk that fast?"

He set his cup down and looked at you. "Most of them need to work on their running skills otherwise they end up handicapped or dead"
You nodded. "I'd totally fail, I can't run for very long..how many people make it to the main exam?"

Satotz stared at you. "One out of ten thousand usually not many last, but as of lately there been successful rookies that have been lucky enough to pass"
You sat back and nodded. "Incredible I could never!" You played with your spoon. "So..tell me about yourself?" You asked.
Unfortunately time was up and Satotz had to leave. "Be seeing you y/n maybe we can do this again sometime?" He bid his farewell and then left.

Your best friend rushed over. "so tell me the deets!" She said and pulled out her notepad.
You sighed and just smiled at her.
"We are going to have lunch again, sometime..I didn't get to ask him about himself but I doubt he would have said anything since he keeps to himself so often"
Your friend nodded. "Maybe you could eventually open him up to you"
You nodded. "Yeah maybe"
