Ugh, I feel like shit, Wooyoung inwardly grumbled as he pulled himself down the corridors of the school building. He had actually been sent to the nurse's office due to the fact that he almost knocked his own lights out by letting his head drop against his desk.

That woke him up....for now.

Somehow, it had been five days of taking that strange medicine, and the poor purplette had been doing worse than before. His skin was paling exponentially with each waking moment, his adventurous eyes were suddenly quite dull with a lack of enthusiasm, and the urge to throw up every ten minutes had his emotions twisting painfully. All Wooyoung could think to do was sleep, yet he wasn't allowed. School didn't permit cutting classes for rest.

The weak teen slumped against the wall to take deep and beneficial breaths. His chest seemed to tremble as he in-took vast amounts of air, just to breathe it all out again. The wall only two metres in front of him was shifting here and there, the line between reality and dreams blurring the longer he attempted to blink back his exhaustion.

What the fuck is going on? He wondered quite frequently, tilting his head back and shutting his eyes for a short minute. The only thing to snap him out of his daze, and to prevent him from falling asleep on the spot, was a soft hand cupping his cheek.

Wooyoung flinched, his eyes shooting open to view the new arrival before he swallowed harshly. It was only San. Even then, was this another one of those weird hallucinations he'd been having recently. Where he saw the man and watched him disappear back into the fantasy he had originally come from?

"Darling? Are you alright?" The vampire murmured softly, leaning in closely and trailing his palm along the heated skin of the human's cheek. "You're burning up."

"Are you even real?"

"Hm?"

"I don't know...." the younger sighed, barely keeping himself up with his weak legs. "I-I think I've been dreaming about you recently....I don't feel well."

"You should tell me these things," San sighed, pulling the boy away from the wall and holding him close to his chest. "You've been pushing yourself lately, and you're clearly sick. Perhaps a fever of some sort."

"I don't even know. I j....I just want to sleep." The shorter tucked his head against the older's chest and used him as a sort of support. For all he hated relying on others, particularly Choi San of all people, he still appreciated help at times like these. In fact, the familiar smell of the male who hadn't left him alone in months was rather soothing.

"I have an idea, if you're interested," the ravenette suddenly suggested, running his fingers through the other's hair to push it off his face.

"What idea?"

"Oh, San?" Yeosang furrowed his brows upon opening the wooden door. He was dressed in a navy t-shirt and black jeans, extremely casual and unusual. Behind him, golden rays of sun beamed in through the large window, glimmering as a tease to the vampires on a fine autumn day.

"Hello, Sang. I've come with a visitor for Seonghwa," he responded pleasantly, pulling Wooyoung closer to his side by the waist. "He's feeling under the weather, and I believe a friend is what he needs."

The older pureblood arched his brow, wondering how wise this would be when considering the fact that Seonghwa wasn't quite finished training or obedience yet. He was still as savage as an abandoned mixedblood.

"San....."

"It'll be fine. We're both here to mediate," the younger of the pair reiterated. "Can we come in?"

Wooyoung paid half attention to the interaction while trying to peer over Yeosang's shoulder into the room. His mind was spinning painfully, but that wouldn't stop him from talking to the one person he had been desperately dreaming of seeing for ages now.

"He's awake," the ravenette stated somewhat unhelpfully, stepping aside to let the guests into Seonghwa's bedroom. It smelled of rain, if that were possible. The window seemed to be open ninety percent of the time, leaving natural smells to linger in the air.

The mixedblood's special scent hit Wooyoung as a friendly reminder of what his best friend used to smell like. The forest's pine, and the fresh cotton fragrance.

"Hwa?" He croaked, still unsteady on his legs while waddling inside and gasping at the sight of his beautiful best friend sitting on the edge of the bed patiently.

"Woo?"

"Oh my god!" He squealed excitedly, hobbling towards him only to collapse onto the mattress with him. "I've missed you so much. I know you were there to stop Yunho from attacking me, but I barely even saw you-"

"It's good to see you too," Seonghwa hummed calmly, heart swelling with happiness as he pulled the human into a warm embrace. He could catch San and Yeosang studying them from the side of the room, assuring nothing would go wrong.

Inside, he could already smell the sweet scent of rushing blood, and of human life. The pureblood had warned him that his humanity and senses would change to look for other things in people. Carnal things.

He wouldn't let it control him though. No. Not when it was Wooyoung.

"Hmm, you smell different," Seonghwa murmured, lifting the other's head by placing his fingers under his chin. "Are you unwell?"

"I'm a bit sick," Wooyoung confessed, "But you're a vampire now, and you can't catch illnesses."

"Ew, don't remind me. Every time someone says 'you're a vampire' I cringe. I'm still not accepting that."

The younger pouted, totally understanding his hurt and disdain. Of could he'd hate what he was. A simple transition into a different creature wouldn't bring out new-found affection for it.

"You should rest and take some time to heal," Seonghwa leaned in and nuzzled against his head, "It could be flu or something."

I just want it to go away....
