Talent Hunt this year? There was no possible way my vision would be so lousy. Unmistakably, the dates witnessed by me in the flyer were of 2018. But then what was Ethan assigned the charge of organising: a different contest sharing the similar name as that of Talent Hunt?

The only way to gain knowledge more about this topic was by directly texting him for information.

I began inputting down my inquisitiveness in a text message.

What is this talent hunt?

Clicking on the send option, I gawked at the conversation history absurdly.

The reply from his side galloped in a round blue coloured edgeless box on the frameless white screen of my device.

Hunting for new talent in the writing field.

His sweet reply did nothing good. Wasn't the idea of hunting for new talent clearly expressed in the title of the contest? Well, he was not to be blamed. The preliminary fact that the contest was strictly restricted to the writing field was, by hook or by crook, a requisite attainment for every person who had heard this name for the first time in their life.

Anyone in his shoes, perhaps, would have replied back in a similar fashion. And if the recipient had already obtained the knowledge with all the details about the topic from any other source, just like me, he or she would not hesitate from considering the sweet informative message as a salty piece of sarcasm.

In a concised message I thanked him for the information graciously which was pretty much useless for my knowledge. On the other hand, recieving new updates around the on-going contest was a exhilarating feeling. I was not certain if submission period was terminated, but I tried my best to keep my expectations positive. My mind was stuck with the question of whether to participate for not. Well, I had nothing to lose excepting the fact that my purse would witness the last hundred dollar note getting reduced. Or rather vanished for which I might have to undergo through remorse sometime soon. I should be happy for giving it a chance though my senses had envisaged the high certainty of an amateur author like me getting knocked off by my tough competitors in the very first round.

Throughout the time my brain was so extensively occupied with switching between the two extreme kinds of sentiments, positive and negative (mainly) that the nerves of my fingers which was in contact with the device displayed failure in directing its vibrations to my brain. I was left unaware of the reponse waiting at my chat.

He had forwarded me a link. Clicking on the link, connected me to the official page of Talent Hunt page in a new tab.

Grabbing the phone firmly between my two hands, my eyes scrutinized through the big paragraphs.

It was confirmed in the very first line of the paragraph that the contest was on-going. Keeping a positive mindset will always fetch you positive results.

I did not stop reading in my excitement. Further information were featured in capitals in the following lines.

In 2018, a total of 355,900 books were posted directly on the website, and about 15,400 books were submitted during the two months time limit in their office.

"Scary numbers!" I sighed. But then I was forgetting about the main prize, alongside the high monetary figure: meeting with an opportunity to have you work published under the same segment as the best selling authors. No to mention any person would die for this chance. Moreover, people all across the globe were not great postive-minded philosophers who feared being a part of the challenge.
