It was pouring the night he said it was over with her. She had met him long ago. As in long ago being a few years back. He was charming. Little did she know that we would prove to be quite a demon. Literally. She was never the religious type. Why would a supposedly all loving and merciful God let his children suffer right?

She absolutely now loathed him. She glared and the lavish estate that she had just been kicked out of. Standing up she exited the place. Luckily she had a small apartment of her own. Unluckily, it was a ways away. "Fuck him" she mumbled to herself.

S

oon a car pulled up beside her as she started walking. Raising and eyebrow in confusion.  Looking over, she was not expecting who she saw. Her whole world just stopped.  He was her former best friend. The only reason they quit talking was due to him not telling her his little secrets. She absolutely loathes people who do that.

"Need a lift?" He said after rolling down the window. Giving her a playful grin he made sure to go slow to keep pace with her. She scowled having an internal debate. Did she wanna walk home in the cold ass rain in 6 inch heels and a skimpy dress that barely covered her ass and get pneumonia or get a ride from a man that used to be her best friend that smashes her every damn button. "Hmm...." She says pretending to think. "How about no?" She would much rather take her chances with the elements. "Oh come on! I have seats that warm up." She hates that. Luring her in with something damn near impossible to refuse. "I even have the heater on for you!" He sang to her. Rolling her eyes she sighs and then says "fine!" He stopped the car and she got in. If he thought for a second that he'd stand a chance at sleeping at her place, he was fucking dreaming. No way in hell.

The car ride to her apartment was pretty quiet. His mood however seemed to drop when he saw that hunk of diamond on her finger. He loathed her boyfriend from the beginning. He tried to talk sense into her because he knew that that dude was bad news! He just wished people listened to him more. He himself knows that this world was never what it seemed to be. Poor human girls like her always got tangled up with a demon and then an angel swoops in to save them. Although, she's not acting like a victim or damsel at all. For once in a literal century, he was impressed. There was something different about her. Something new. Something exciting.  She was bold, fierce, unpredictable. That damned demon just up and tossed her away. That will not happen again. Not under his protection.

After driving for awhile, he finally got to her apartment and made a disgusted face. That demon had a shit ton of money, yet, couldn't even give his lady a nice place to live?! This is absolutely unacceptable.  Unacceptable. He watched as she opened her door. "Hey! Aren't you gonna invite me in?" "Absolutely not." She replied coldly slamming the door. "Thanks for the ride." She quickly walks into her apartment.

It had been a rough night. She didn't even bother to change as she fell back on her bed. She didn't care if she got sick or not. It didn't matter to her. She looked at the ring. A scowl formed on her face. First thing in the morning, she was going to pawn it. He didn't want her? Fine. She will brave this world alone. After all the bodies she dropped for him. All the blood that stained her hands. She was just a pawn to him. A toy that he grew bored of. She thought if she did what he asked and then some he'd never leave her. She couldn't have been more wrong. He would regret this. Even if it was the last thing she'd ever do.
