By your side

           For the past 5 or 6 years, I would've never believed a night like this could ever happen. Now that it is, I'm incredibly excited and nervous, I'm my best friends best man at his wedding. Bad's weddimg to be exact. It's been almost a year since he announced it to me and the rest of our friends, first thing he said after that was too ask me to be his best man. Of course I answered yes. 
          Now after a good 10 months, I'm watching him up there with someone that I know will keep him happy and safe other than me, and that makes me happy that he's happy. When I saw him up there with his new bride, it was pretty much impossible not to cry when he was smiling with joy. Then dinner came along, almost time for my speech.
           Everyone was eating, talking, drinking, and having fun. As having the advantage of being best man of course I sat next to Bad with having the bride on the other side of him. Then the speeches began, since Bad felt bad for not letting the others be best man, he let them at least have a speech each since they practically begged to have one. Then all of them went one by one. First Finn, Spifey, Sapnap, George, Zelk, and then Dream. Finally, it was my turn, I stood up and walked up to the front, and took a look at everyone. Bad was pretty much at the edge of tears, since everyone else's speeches were really heartfelt, especially Dream's. I took a breath and began to talk.
           "It seems only yesterday when we first talked. I applied for staff on your server for a joke, but who knew that joke would end with us here. I'm happy that I was apart of your life, that I got to be part of every accomplishment you achieved like reaching a million subs on YouTube. If I'm being honest, I don't deserve you, Bad. You've always been by my side during good and bad times, and always supported me to go on with youtube. The world hasn't been fair to you, even I haven't been fair to you at times. And I'm sorry if I have, and no matter what I do, I can never make it up to you. Nothing will ever beat your friendship, which makes me confused if that's a good thing or a bad thing since I can never find a good enough gift for you." A couple of laughs came out of the audience and even a chuckle from myself.
               "I'm glad you have someone else in your life to spend with, even though I'm pretty sure, I could never be replaced. Even when we don't see eye to eye you are still so understanding. You're always there when I need someone to talk to. You make me laugh and cheer me up when I'm down." I saw that Bad was starting to cry and I did too. I gulped and kept going while gasping due to how much I was crying.
                 "I hope everyone can find someone like Bad in their life. Bad, you have been my best friend for what seems like a thousand years. You've been there for me countless times. Whenever I need someone to talk to you were always there for me. and you're funny, caring, and trustworthy. I would not trade you for anything. I love you with all my heart. And that will never change." Everyone began to clap, when I walked back to then hug Bad back. We were just crying into each others arms and pretty much stayed there until we finally could composed ourselves again. We sat back down and the party kept going. The next few hours were filled with drinks, dancing, singing, yelling, screaming, and crying.
                  It was probably around 2 a.m. by now and everyone was starting to leave. They hugged Bad and the bride to then leave. I stayed behind, wanting to experience every second of the wedding with Bad.
I went to get air outside the venue, I stared at the stairs when all of a sudden I heard footsteps. I turn around to see Bad there.
                 "Hey." He said.
                 "Hi." I replied.
                 "I want to say thanks for coming and everything else that you did" He chuckled while standing beside me.
                 "Oh, it's no problem. I'm willing to do anything for my best friend." I replied. We stood there in silence for a couple of minutes. We both looked at the stars saying nothing, until I feel two arms wrap me into a hug. I do nothing for a few seconds to then hug him back. Then he starts crying, I hug him tighter.
                 "I can't leave you. I just can't." He started explaining, "I can't leave any of you, you're too important to me. I'm not ready to go. I need you by my side. I can't leave, I can stay with you, just tell me the words. Just say so and I'll stay-" He kept rambling on, and I just listened. Soon he was having trouble talking due to crying into my shoulder. Bad wanted to go on with this, but wasn't ready to leave everything else behind. Bad was so excited too, but the reality of leaving some things behind was starting to settle in. I guess he thought that those "things" was me and the rest of our friends. I cut him off before he actually decided to call the whole thing off.
                  "Bad, listen to me." I began with while pushing him off me, "You're not leaving any of us. You're just moving on with a new chapter of your life. And yeah you can lose some characters in every chapter, but there's chapters where they don't and stay for the restof the story. But you won't know if you stay on that one chapter. You'll never figure out how the story ends, its the same with life. There's going to be people that'll leave your life, but that's just how life is. But I promise you Bad, I'll be the one thats stays in the next chapter. And I'll never leave unless something happens. You've always been by my side, and I'll do the same. I promise." I tried comforting him, he couldn't stop his life just because of his friends. He seemed to calm down a bit, but there still was a few tears appearing here and there. Then a sad smile began to appear on both our faces.
                    "Thank you, for everything you've done." He replied with.
                     "It's nothing, just remember. I'll be by your side."
