Prologue

"You're with your mistress again!" Mom angrily shouted at my bastard Dad.

Sinampal niya si Mom "Wag mo akong sigawan Felice!" Mom was crying, her hair was like- a bird nest, dark circles under her eyes, bakas ang pagod sa kanyang mukha.

"Walanghiya ka! Gago ka!" sinampal- sampal nito ng lalaki hanggang sa makuntento ito, Dad pushed Mom and strangled her hair, forcing her to face him.

"Hindi mo ako masisisi Felicidad, gurang ka na, might as well find someone younger and provide my needs." tsaka mala- demonyo itong humalakhak.

"Bakit mo ba ako pinakikialaman? Why don't you just plant some flowers and weeds huh? at marahas na binitawan si Mom.

I could not take it, I abruptly went down our grand staircase and helped my Mom who was crying nonstop, I faced my Dad with a cold and angry expression.

"Take care of your Mom Sage I'm going to bed." After that he went upstairs in the master bedroom. While my Mom was clinging to me still sobbing loudly.

"Mom let's go upstairs." I was carefully accompanying Mom until we reached my room and sat on my bed.

"Why don't we just leave that man mom?" tanong ko sa aking ina.

"We can't anak, You know that your father has a lot of connections."

A lone tear escaped my eye, It frustrates me that we can't do anything about our situation.

My parents married for convinience. My dad never loved my mom, while my mom loved dad truly. But eventhough I hated my father hindi ko maikakailang nagpapasalamat parin ako sa kanya. He provided all my needs.

When my mom's parents died their company was handed-down to my dad. Bagay na hindi nila dapat ginawa, Pero wala na silang ibang choice. The board chose my dad to lead. Dad became greedy, he likes power and wants more of it. To the point where he does illegal things just to be on top, and he succeeded. Later on my father become one of the most-ifluenced and powerful businessman in Asia.

"Sage Atalanta Velariza!" sigaw ng isang binatang kilalang-kilala ko.

"The heck you want?" I coldly said. Hecate Fley Saldivar the only best friend I have.

"Bakit ba ang hilig mong makipagtitigan sa hangin? I was asking if you can be my date tonight." tanong nito ng may mapaglarong ngiti sa labi.

"Why me? I know that many girls line-up just to be your date. Why don't you ask them instead moron?" We are in our last year and our school requires us to go to a Masquerade ball that will be held tonight. Which is for our closing ceremony that will take place this week.

"I don't like them they look too desperate, women should'nt be like that." I wanna laugh, But this moron has a point too.

"Okay I'll go with you, I'm gonna wear a midnight green gown, Make sure we match." I hate parties it's boring, At ayaw kong makipag-plastikan sa mga letcheng babae na lalapit sa gago kong kaibigan.

"It's settled then, no backing out. I'm telling you Sage pag ikaw di nag-ayos mamaya magagalit ako sayo, just like last time na di mo ako sinipot sa lakad natin dahil lang tinamad ka at ayaw mong lumabas ng bahay niyo." seryoso at bakas ang babala nitong sabi.

"Pupunta ako okay? Basta sunduin mo ako mamaya tinatamad akong mag-maneho." I chuckled lightly. Naalala ko nung niyaya niya ako pumunta sa ice cream parlor dahil gusto niya daw ng ice cream, Di ko sinipot dahil tinamad ako at natulugan, Ewan ko sa lalaking to daig pa babae kung mag-crave.
