"The next couple of weeks Maddie was dedicated to Nate, she wanted her friend to get better, not to be an asshole anymore, she was always with him and when she wasn't, he was watching her."
Last Friday Nate told Madelyn he wanted to apologize to Maddy, so he asked her to tell Maddy to meet him at the motel. At first Madelyn said no, but she wanted him to apologize, so she agreed to talk to Maddy.
Her meetings with Nate were going great, she thought he was doing better and she could see it too. The only thing that was weird is that Nate had kissed her a couple of times, and she kissed him back, but both of them never talked about it.
Right now Maddie was getting her costume ready for Daniel's halloween party when she got a call.
Charges were dropped, Nate almost screamed on the phone.
What?
They caught the guy that did it!
Nate how? You did it
It doesn't matter, they caught the guy. I'm free.
We can be together again, she heard Maddy screaming in the background.
Madelyn hung up after hearing Maddy, she was pissed. She spent weeks helping Nate, he promised he would stay away from his toxic relationship and so did Maddy. Maddy..., she thought, she also spent those weeks helping Maddy, helping her to love herself, she finally got her to understand she didn't need anyone to be great, and now it was all thrown away. But what really pissed her off is that both of her friends promised they would stay away from each other. I shouldn't have let them meet, the girl thought again.
Madelyn's mission today was to pissed Nate off, it hurt more that he broke his promise and he was her best friend. He and Maddy called her all day but she just ignored both of them.
The party was at 10 pm, she started pre gaming alone at 6 pm. She decided to go as Cher, from Clueless, she wore a white lace bralette, a yellow plaid mini skirt, a yellow plaid blazer, white almost knee high socks and white heels. She just put some glitter in her eyes, a gloss, mascara and highlighter. And at 9:30 she started to walk to the party, now the girl could barely walk in a straight line.
Madelyn finally arrived at the party 30 minutes later, and she got there the party was already full. The girl stumbled inside going straight to the drinks on the counter. She poured herself a shot of tequila and downed it. After her third shot a guy she didn't know approached her.
"What's up Mads?" the boy said, making her turn around to face him.
"Who are you?" the girl asked, she could barely see him, the alcohol had blurred her vision.
"I'm Jake, a senior, we have AP Bio together" he said.
"Oh in that case, what's up Jake?" the girl raised another shot and took it. Madelyn noticed a small bag with white contents on his hand, "what do you have there Jake?" She pointed.
