Messages exchanged between an omnivore and a vegan conversing about veganism on a dating site:

Hey there, how are you doing? I am tall, handsome, ready for a relationship, and you? What are you looking for? Any luck on there yet? Any pictures?

Hi! Thanks for the the note! I am also ready for a relationship with the right man. I am very picky, and want to find a specific man. I will share some pictures, if I feel there is some compatibility between us both. Let me ask you some questions first. Please, could you tell me what are your relation and views towards hunting, fishing, horseback riding, etc.? Thanks!

Great, my luck! Are you a vegetarian or something like that? No, I don't hunt, fish, or horseback ride, but I do eat meat.

Thanks for the answer! Well, no, I am not a vegetarian, but a very long time vegan. I wish you luck in your search, but it would not fit what I am looking for. I would like to find an ethical vegan. Thanks for the chat!

What kind of lady are you for rejecting me because I ain't a vegan?

Well, this is a dating site, correct, and everyone has their own preferences when it comes to dating. I am no longer interested in dating an omnivore. I want someone like me who wants to spare the non-human animals' lives.

Then what is this term of non-human animals. Can't you speak English like everybody else?

On a scientific view, we are all animals, the humans and the non-humans.

Oh yeah! Never heard of such a thing, must be a vegan stuff, AGAIN!!!

No, it is not! Anyway why cannot you spare the lives of other species stopping eating their flesh? You know meat is not a product, right, and it is made taking a life!

So what? That is why they are made for, no? With you, vegans, we could not eat anything, but salads and tofu!!! It's normal to eat them. Stop blaming us! We don't do anything wrong!

Be right back!

Ok!

Sorry for the interruption! Absolutely not, the lives of any non-humans are not made for the miserable lives you just stated they are made for (i.e. food). You will be able to read what the meat and dairy industries do to them. I prepared for you a summary that I will send you separately with websites included to educate you about the meat and dairy industries. Life is life, and they have the right to live it fully and happily like any other human animals have this right. No, it is very wrong to eat them. Those lives do not belong to anyone, but to themselves. The non-humans have a family just like the humans have one, and they are sentient beings.

Thanks for the info! I started reading your summary, and watched only a couple of the videos that you shared on slaughterhouses. But come on... It is not all the time like that. They just show you extremes in videos to alert the public on non sense.

Oh, I see, a skeptical! You have the truth in front of you, but still cannot assimilate your responsibility to it with your omnivore diet, so now you are accusing people on emphasizing the truth... Actually, it is how meat, eggs, milk, and so forth are produced. It seems like you did not like viewing them? Am I right? Anyway, thanks for watching them! Think how can feel those poor innocent creatures that you are responsible for their lives because of your selfish choice of choosing meat and such? Think of those vegan volunteers who filmed the horrible scenes to help the non-humans' future lives by sensitizing the public on the hidden truth? And you are welcome for the summary! That said, what is/are your favorite meal(s)?

Well, let's see... Fast food meals such as hamburgers, fries, tacos, beef, cheese noodles, sea food, strawberry vanilla milk shake, bacon, blueberry muffins, and apple pie. Why, are you cooking for me tonight?
