Silence... Utter silence.
Only the sound of the classic music filling the uncomfortable silence inside the car. Nobody had uttered a word since they had gotten out of the theme park. They couldn't, and that was even more distressing, for the both of them.
They wanted to break the ice and yet on the other thought, they didn't want too. Everly had her eyes closed she felt fatigue taking over her, and it was a perfect opportunity to avoid the uncomfortable situation. But the scene of them almost kissing kept playing in her head. And Jimin's calm presence beside her wasn't helping at all.
As much calm and composed Jimin looked on the outside, he was freaking out on the inside. His eyes were on the road but his mind was fixated on the woman beside him. He watched the ravenette through the corner of his eyes. He knew she wasn't sleeping but it bugged him to see her relaxed like that after almost having that kiss--
He blushed at that. He covered his mouth with his large hands, as he remembered how close their faces were and how their lips had even touched, ready to mold each other. Oh, how good that would've gone and how her lips would have tasted? He would have found it all if not for that bloody operator.
He banged his hand on the steering wheel in annoyance, causing it to honk at nothing particular. Everly jolted up at the sudden sound, startled. Jimin himself was caught off guard by it. He immediately checked up on Everly.
"Did that startle you a lot? I'm extremely sorry. " Jimin said in an apologetic tone. Everly shook her head.
"No, it didn't much." She wasn't good at feigning things, Jimin noticed that. She leaned back on the seat again but this time her eyes wide open, every single bit of drowsiness leaving her eyes.

Jimin pulled the car in front of an apartment complex where Everly lived. But none of them dared to leave the car. They sat there for good couple of minutes in silence. They weren't even sparing a glance at each other.
"We are here." Jimin spoke, breaking the silence. Everly nodded in response, but didn't dare to get off of the car and leave.
So many thoughts consuming their mind. So many things they wanted to speak but didn't know where to start and how to start. They wanted to talk about the unfinished business and the unspoken feelings, but afraid of seeing whatever they had build in the short span of time, crumble down. In the restless silence they could only hear their heartbeat palpitating.
Jimin garnered up his thoughts and decided to speak. "Everly, about what happened-" he was curtly stopped by the ravenette, who hastily unbuckled her seatbelt.
