I am lying on a glacier and my cheeks feel bland,
I see you at a distance and stretch my hand.
I wonder if I see it right, as you look at me with eyes sparkling bright.
I wonder Why?
Why do you look so grey when everything around me is so white?
Maybe, maybe, it's not you but this damn Canadian sky!
Can you hear our ancestors whispering through the chill?
They say you are an illusion and your tinted glasses are meant to kill.
I laugh at them because I already have a spear,
That twists in my heart every time you cheer!
You can help me no more, neither you can slain,
As I bleed on the ice field, with love gone in vain!
