Seán bit his lip as the taxi arrived at his new home, climbing out of the car and gathering his things. "Wonder if my roommate is already moved in..." He mumbled, glancing up at the sky.
It was currently early in the afternoon, a gentle fall breeze caressing his arms with rays of sun poking through the overcast sky.
Seán paid the taxi driver and thanked him for everything before walking to the dorms, going up to the desk to get his key.
"Room three-hundred and seven...guess I'm up on the top floor." Seán murmured as he examined the key before sticking it in his pocket and bringing his things to the elevator.
"Bro wait up!"
Seán looked to see a guy with a gray snapback hat run towards the elevator with his things, Seán sticking a foot out to stop the door so the guy could get on.
"Thanks bro." The guy panted with a grin, adjusting his things to hold a hand out to Seán. "My name's Chase Brody, what room are you in?"
Seán smiled and shook his hand. "My name's Seán McLoughlin, but you can call me Jack. I'm in room three-hundred and seven."
"Wait really? No way bro, I'm in the room next to yours!" Chase gasped excitedly. "Have you met your roommate yet?"
Seán shook his head. "Nope, all I know is that his name is Anti. I just kinda picked the first room I saw that had availability..."
"I get it bro, I hope he's cool. His name sounds badass..." Chase adjusted the stuff he was carrying, stepping off the elevator when the doors opened.
"Who's your roommate?" Seán asked as he stepped out and walked down the hall with Chase to their rooms.
"Oh, uh...think his name's Henry or something. He has some kind of hard to pronounce name. Think it's German or something." Chase shrugged, stopping at his room. "See ya later bro!"
"See ya later." Seán chuckled and walked into his room, setting his stuff down and looking around.
There were two windows on the far wall he was facing with beds against them, the curtains drawn. The floor was made of a crunchy gray carpet, wooden desks by each bed.
"Who the hell are you?"
Seán jumped in surprise and looked at the bed on his right to see it was occupied by a guy wearing black headphones with dark green hair on his laptop, the guy dressed in all black.
"Oh um, my name's Seán. Are you-?"
"Yes I'm Anti ya dumbass, why else would I be in this room?" The guy interrupted with a scowl, not looking up at him. "Damn I wish I had the money to have my own room."
"Right, sorry." Seán mumbled apologetically, quietly getting all of his stuff unpacked while Anti typed away on his laptop.
By the time he got everything settled, the sun was barely hovering over the horizon, and Jack could feel his stomach rumbling.
Seán had sat on his bed when he heard a knock on the door, sighing quietly as he stood and opened it. "Hello?"
"Hey, my name's Jackie! You hungry? My roommate and I ordered pizza, we can all eat in the common area." A guy dressed in a Spider-Man hoodie introduced himself with a grin, holding up his hand for a high five.
"Really? Thanks man! My name's Seán, but you can call me Jack. Nice to meet ya!" Seán grinned and high-fived him.
"Your roommate can come too if he wants." Jackie offered, looking past Seán at Anti. "I've invited a few other people too since we all share a bathroom."
