"What on earth child? Why do you have blood on your pants?" Sue stood up from her old chair on the porch watching me walk up the sidewalk.
"Would you believe me if I said it's because I started my period." I got to the stairs.
Sue raised her eyebrow "It started from your knee?"
Smiling I walked up to her and gave her a hug.
"Honey tell me what happened." Sue sat down taking her brown hair now turning gray in a small bun.
"I fell on the bus." I sat on the ground next to her.
"Honey you know you can tell me anything?
I looked up at her and smiled "I know, I tripped then I got off the bus because I was embarrassed."
Sue noted softly and rushed Rain upstairs to clean up.
I quickly grab a pair of sweats.
Some may wonder why I never wear shorts in the summer, they just don't know I'm trying to hide scars.
I make my way downstairs I see Sue and Drake taking over in the kitchen. He kisses Sue on the cheek. You can the blood rush appear on her dark skin.
Watching them reminded me of my parents.
In Love. Gross.
I stride across the living room to the front door.
After closing the front I start walking down my walkway when I realize I'm. Not. Alone
I feel a presence near. I try to ignore and continue the library.
Rain continues walking down the street. She walks in the library greeting the employees and the orange cat that sits in the window.
After a short time browsing Rain checks out with 4 books.
Carrying her books she walks down the coffee shop across the street.
She opens the door with pure regret. There was a group of kids from school.
Avoiding them she makes her way the counter.
"Hello Rain, do you want the usual?" The barista Sophia smiled.
"yes." I pay for her and walk to my booth in the far corner.
I sit and sip my coffee. I start one of my books when I feel someone's presence.
I look up from my book.
"Bloody hell!" I throw my book.
"Ouch"
Across the table sat the redhead.
"okay who the heck are you and why are you following me?"
I pick up another book in defense.
"First Ouch, and names Kindle, Kindle Lee." He picked up my book and laid it back on the table.
"Okay, Kindle why are you following me?"
He smirked " I saw you at the flower garden with a bloody knee. So I wanted to make sure you were ok."
I stared right in his red eyes and said "Im fine. Please leave me alone."
"Hey now look here-" Kindle started to come closer.
"HI!" "I'm Prisslia". A girl dressed in all purple with fake blonde hair stood at my table facing Kindle.
"uh hi can I help you?" Kindle turned from me.
"yeah, you can come to sit by me, instead of sitting by this freak." Her voice gave me a headache.
"Listen here you b-" I started
"Why would I want to sit with a...how do I put this kindly, a spoiled brat like you." Kindle stood up.
Priscila stumbled back. "whatever, if you want to hang out with her you must be a freak too."
Before we could say anything prissy scurried away.
I eyed his every move. "Go. Away."
He furrowed his brow. "what?"
I sighed and picked up my books.
"Bye.""Hey wait." I felt a hand grab my arm.
"Get your hands off me." I tugged away. I looked at him before I walked out. Hurt. All well.
Walking home I could tell he was following me.
"Leave me alone." I spun around.
"I just want to ask you one question before you leave me." He stepped closer.
"Whatever, make it quick."
"What's your name?" He smiled.
I rolled my eyes. "Rain."
His smile looked brighter. "Nice. When can I see you again Rain?"
"Never."
Author note: sorry this was short. I just started school so I've been busy. (Lol I act like people read my stories)
