Best mate

Age 10

I was walking down the path to school. We had SATS today. My mum was in hospital and my dad was taking care of me. I hated him so much. Will was waiting for me at the bus stop that was at the top of the path. I saw him. I continued to walk over.
"Hey" I sighed
"Hey what's up?" Will asked
"Mum went into hospital, again, dad is looking after me, the maths test is first and I've missed loads of school" I ranted
"It's okay you'll smash it" will reassured.
"You too" I smiled as we walked into the school gates. We saw George and Alex I wasn't quite sure where Stephen was.
"Hey where's Stephen?" I asked
"Me and Alex think he's off ill" George explained
"Better fucking not be" I blurted quietly
"Liv!" Alex reprimanded
"Sorry I'm just in a bad mood can we get into school please?" I grunted
Will pov  
I felt so sorry for viv. She has so much going on and we have our SATS.
"What's up with her?" George asked me quietly
"Her mum went back into hospital last night and her dad is looking after her. He's an idiot." I explained
"Oh" Alex trailed
Vivian pov  
We got into school and were immediately separated into four different classrooms.
"Vivian Cruz?" The teacher asked
"yes that's me?" I replied
"We are transferring you to a different room" the teacher explained signalling me to follow her and so I did. How fun
I got into the room and Will was there. I smiled at him. I was seated at the back of the class.
"Vivian nice for you to join us" the other teacher said
"Cut the crap I'm not that special" I blurted "sorry"
The teacher gave me a dirty look and I just started fiddling with my pencil. The other kids in the class were laughing. All of a sudden Stephen walks in.
