The Beginning of the Warriors

The creation of the Eon was peaceful and unifying for the gods. Created for humans, faeries, mages, and more to thrive and live in harmony. Until the dark Gods tempted Eon's creatures with power. Temptation and darkness caused a split in the ideology of the purpose of the creations. Creating a war between the gods of light and darkness.

War isn't only a human defect, it originated from the gods. Their greed and power caused the most magnificent battle in Eon's history to occur. The fight over magic and the ruling of the creature of the land. Light vs. Dark. Salvation vs. Damnation.

While the mages and other magical creatures to the side of the Goddess Lysse, the goddess of rage and fury, the humans took the side of Rhiannon, the goddess of the sun. Those gods on the side of Lysse were believed to be evil. The humans who followed Rhiannon's lead were seen as righteous in following the god who protected them. For she was one of the few gods who chose not to enslave the humans but to live among them and love them. Rowan the relentless was a famous warrior at the time. He was the fiercest when it came to battle strategy, courage, and love for his people. It is said that he captured Rhiannon's heart by simply showing her the life of humans.

Rowan and Rhiannon's army of humans and minor gods were no match for the mages and creatures of the dark. As the battle raged on, the numbers of humans dwindled. The mages were able to reanimate the dead and turn brothers against brothers.

While watching the life of the humans be taken and abused by the darkness and Rowan receiving a damaging wound, Rhiannon decided to make the ultimate sacrifice. In the last effort, she challenged Lysse to a duel. Only the two of them will decide the fate of Eon.

During the standstill, the two gods did the dance of death. Rhiannon is motivated by the loss of her soldiers and the fear of death for Rowan. While Lysse's only focus was the revenge she needed for the death of her sister Apate during the battle. The two were in a battle of not just wit but raw power. Rhiannon's coming from the sun and Lysse feeding off the emotions of the creatures. Their raw magic was equal. It is said that those from miles away could see the battle between the light and dark. Two clouds of energy wobbling and attacking each other.

Rhiannon for a fraction of a second was distracted by the screams of agony from Rowan's pain. In an attempt to end the battle, Lysse delivered a killing blow to Rhiannon's heart. For it is only if you take the heart of a god will you have complete control over them. What Lysse did not know, was that Rhiannon had already given her heart to another. For when Lysse's power struck Rhiannon, she had waisted all her energy.

Rhiannon took this advantage and decided to commit the most basic crime of the Gods. Stripping the magic and immortality from Lysse and the gods on her side. In the final minutes of her immortal life as well, Rhiannon transferred the magic of the Gods into the humans she trusted the most. Allowing for the magic to be embedded with their very essence. Giving up the last of her immortal life to protect these most trusted humans and create a new order. Allowing them to have the burden to contain the power of dark magic.

When Rhiannon woke to her mortal life, she was surprised to see the wonders of what the god's magic did. The humans that survived the infusion of black magic changed physically. Now having black hair and eyes and a special mark on their body. The colophi was the sign used by the mages as a symbol of dark magic. Each warrior seeming to have the godly qualities of physical strength, special gifts of power, and overall heightened senses.

There was one who was separate from the others. Rowan. For when he went through the infusion, he did not have black hair but a glowing white silver and vibrant violet eyes. In later generations, this would be the traits of those who showed great strength, loyalty, and potential just as Rowan. These warriors who survived came together and called themselves Keloti. Sworn to protect the innocent and destroy the darkness that threatens Eon and its creatures.

The survival of the Keloti Order

To continue the life of the order, the warriors would search for boys who presented with the will to go through the trials. They also would mate with prostitutes, only taking the child if it was a boy. The prostitutes were mere vessels for the warriors. Love is not a tolerated emotion in the order. The emotion would allow for the dark magic to control their head and lose control.

That is where the trials come in to play with the determination of the worthiness of an individual. Any individual who survives the trials will be reborn as a warrior. For the trials are the ultimate decision of strength, physically and mentally. When the time comes, the boy would enter the basin made from the mortal bones of the gods and enter the pool of black magic. (There have been girls who have entered but have been rejected by the magic and died.)

The magic never disappears but rather when a Keloti dies, the magic flows through Eon to the basin and refill in wait for the next warrior to be reborn.
