Chapter 1- Adopting And Shopping

Edward POV

It was when I was listening to my classical music when I felt the need to hunt. It was strange because I only went hunting the day before, but I was going to go anyway. So I strode down the long flight of stairs and shouted,

"Esme, Im just going to go hunting!" to my adoptive mother, just so she doesn't worry about me.

"Okay, but bring one of your brothers too!" she shouted back. So knowing I wasn't going to persuade her to let me go on my own, I went to get Jasper and Emmet. When I walked into the living room I heard some guitar playing, so I knew for a fact, Emmet was challenging Jasper to a game of guitar hero.

"Guys, I have to go hunting and Esme told me you two have to come too" I told them

"But Eddie, we are busy" Said Emmet, now I could feel anger burning up inside me, I hate him calling me Eddie. So for pay back I pulled the guitar off of him, ran outside and threatened to drop his precious guitar in the river if he didn't take it back and promise he would never say Eddie again.

"Take it back" I told him through my teeth. It wasn't hard to see he was worried about his guitar,

"Oh come on, not the guitar!" he complained. Then Rose came out of the house with Alice, hoping to sort out the problem.

"Right, Edward you put that guitar NOW," she shouted, turned to Emmet and Jasper and said," and you two should feel ashamed of yourselves for not listening to your brother, go hunting with him NOW!" it was quite clear Emmet and Jasper feared their wives.

"Jasper, for what you have done you are banned from competitions with Emmet till next week" Alice shouted. Jasper never looked more scared in his life, I was finding it really hard not to laugh at those two. But then I done something I will regret for the rest of my immortal life. Sniggered.

"What did you say Edward" they both said through there teeth, then I gestured to my brothers and we ran for it. I could hear both their thoughts an they were laughing at us. I felt like running back and giving them a good telling off.

"Now that we're here we are going to hunt" I said pleased with myself that I had got them two off the playstation, then we saw a grizzly bear, then we all lunged for it. We sucked the living out of it and felt it go limp and knew we couldn't drink more. Then we smelt something, not an animal- but a human. I told Jasper and Emmet to stay back. Then I ran towards the sweet smell. I thought it might be a couple of humans on a tour, but the smell was too faint to be that. Then I saw it. A little pram in the middle of a meadow, I heard a faint cry and ran up to it. Then inside the pram I saw a little baby, wrapped up I a pink body suit with a bobbly hat and soft rubber boots. She looked like a new born baby. She smelt powdery, not something I would want to drink from. She looked alone, so I wrapped her up in my arms and she looked into my eyes- and found a way to get into my cold heart. Then I heard a footstep behind me. I knew they wouldnt listen to me.

"Guys look what I found" I said turning around so they could see the little squirmy baby sleeping in my arms with her little hand on her delicate face, touching it and waking herself up.

"Who would leave a kid like that in the middle of the meadow?" asked Emmet

"Mabye we should take her to Carlisle?" suggested Jasper, now becoming more serious.

"Come on then guys, race you there!" I challenged

"But Alice said," Jasper started

"You can't take any challenges against Emmet, this is against me bro!" I said trying to persuade him to a competition

"Okay then bro!" he said finally daring to challenge the speediest vampire in the family

"Ready... set... GO!" I shouted. The baby seemed to enjoy having the wind blow through her hair. As always, I won the competition and ran into Carlisle's office.
