Harry woke up the next morning dreading school. When he walked into the great hall, two fifth year Slytherins stood up on the table, and started playing some strange muggle rap song. They were dressed up in Gryffindor clothes, and one had a painted scar and black hair that had been messed up, imitating Harry. The other had dyed his hair temporarily red, obviously imitating Ron.
"This is for you Potter!" the taller, dark haired boy yelled, pointing at him.
The display that followed is not one that he would rather relive, (basically I don't want to write it so I wont), but Harry stormed up to the table.
"Is there something you want to say to me?" he yelled, but McGonagall beat him to it.
"Get off the table. Now!" she yelled. "You're about to be suspended for so long, that by the time you get back to school you will have gray hair and need adult diapers. Now get off the table!"
"You can't talk to us like that!" the fake redhead exclaimed.
"Actually I can, because I just did, and you know why? Because you are those two assholes who just did that awful thing, in front of the whole school. And no one feels sorry for those assholes. Especially not me. Professor Dumbledore is waiting for you," she said.
Everyone was so focused on the scene in front of them that no one noticed Draco Malfoy run out of the hall. No one, that is, except for Ginny Weasley.

Draco Malfoy was terrified. After what he had just witnessed in the great hall, he was doubtful that he would ever come out to anyone. If someone like the great Harry Potter got treated like that when he came out, then what would happen to someone like him? Someone who nobody even likes in the first place. He would be even more alone than he felt now. He was so caught up in his own world, that he didn't even notice Ginny Weasley get up and follow him out of the great hall.
"Malfoy!" she yelled, making him stop and turn around.
"What do you want Weasley," he said, forcing his face to return to his emotionless front.
"It was you, wasn't it. You told those guys to make fun of Harry! You paid them or something!" she yelled. No one was there, so no one could hear except for the two of them.
"Now, why would I do that, Weasel?" he asked.
"Because you're a vindictive little prat who doesn't care about anyone except yourself!" she screamed at him.
"No, I mean, why would I do that if I was the one who he was writing with?" his voice broke. He regretted it as soon as he said it. She was obviously going to tell Harry. Merlin, he was so screwed.
"So... so it was you then? That's why you left the great hall? Because you're gay, and felt uncomfortable? So you didn't pay those guys to make fun of Harry?" she said, putting the pieces together.
"Why else would Hermione befriend me? She figured it out,"
"So, why did you stop writing to Harry?" she asked.
"Because he hates me. Because I won't be able to stand the disappointment on his face when he finds out that it was me," he said, sitting down on a nearby bench. Ginny went and sat by him.
"Look, Malfoy, I don't like you. It's just how it is. Never have, probably never will. But even I can see how excited Harry gets when Hermione invites you to something. He always watches you during meals when you look away. And his face lights up when he gets your letters, even if he didn't know it was from you. If I had to guess, if Harry could pick who it is, he would want it to be you. As much as it pains me to say it, he's lowkey crushing on Draco while falling in love with Star. I think you should just tell him it was you" she said, putting a hand on his back.
"Why are you being so nice to me? I've been nothing but rude to you. You have no reason to be saying this at all," he said.
"Because you've changed, Malfoy. You're kind of likeable now, and if all works out, I'll be seeing a lot of you soon enough,". Then, Draco did the unexpected. He turned around and hugged her, and she tentatively hugged him back.
"Thank you," he whispered.
"You make him really happy," she whispered back.

Cormac caught Harry on his way back to the common room.
"Hey, Harry! I'm really sorry, I was just upset that Hermione kissed Weasley, and I took it out on you. I didn't think it was that big of a deal! I didn't know people still did stuff like that anymore!" he yelled, following him, but Harry kept ignoring him until he snapped.
"I don't care if you didn't think that my coming out was going to be a big thing McLaggen! It was supposed to be my thing! And you took that away from me, so will you please just get the fuck away from me!" he yelled, and he walked away feeling a little bit better.

In Harry's mind, the only person who had given him any clues that it was them was Cedric. When he saw him in the halls between classes, he decided to ask him.
"Hey, Cedric," he said.
"Oh, hey Harry, I was looking for you. I just want to say that what those kids did is awful, and if you want to talk about anything-" he was cut off.
"Was it you?" he asked.
"Sorry?" said Cedric.
"Are you Star?" he asked.
"I'm sorry, Harry. I mean, I am gay but I'm not Star," he said, putting a supportive hand on his arm.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked," said Harry, as he walked away, full of embarrassment.
"Wait, Harry, do you need to talk about anything?" he called after him, but it was no use. Harry had caught up with Hermione and they were already long gone.

That night at dinner, Professor Dumbledore had a surprise for the students.
"Good evening students. I would like to inform you that this weekend, the first annual Hogwarts Carnival will take place! It will be a traditional muggle carnival to learn about muggle culture! There will be rides, games, muggle food, and many more activities for your enjoyment. This will take place on Saturday starting at six o'clock, and will be open until midnight. Enjoy your dinner!" he said.
This gave Harry an idea. A carnival is bound to have a ferris wheel. Star said something about a ferris wheel. Maybe he wasn't so doomed after all.
