The sun was bright that day, I stared it longer than I should be. Still in disbelief that I had not seen it for a hundred years until recently.

Until this young beautiful prince in front of me, found my lamp.

"Genesis."

"Yes, young prince?"

He gave out a sigh, "I keep telling you. Exodus lang ang itawag mo sa akin."

If only I could, I would. But how do I tell him that I have never tried calling out anyone's name before?

"That's something I cannot do. You are my master, young prince, Exodus."

He stared at me, "You are the most powerful entity in our world right now, Genesis. Alam mo naman yan diba?"

"Powerful? Ako? Probably. But it doesn't change the fact that I am still a slave to my damn lamp. A slave to my fate."

I decided to change the subject and decided to ask him why he hadn't told me what he wanted for his first wish?

It had already been a few days since he found my lamp and so far, he has not vocally told me what je wants or what he plans to do with the 3 wishes I was going to grant him.

"You'll know what I want to wish soon, Genesis. Let's just get to know each other first. Okay?" And he smiled at me.

Getting to know each other? That wasn't part of the master-genie manual, though there isn't one...

I've been a genie for my entire existence and yet I seldomly meet masters who wants to know about me? Usually they just tell me what they wish and when their 3 wishes are over, my lamp disappears out of their sight and finding me another master to serve.

"All you really need to know is that I'm a genie and since you were the one who found my lamp, ikaw na ang bagong master ko. Anong gusto niyong hingilin sa akin, Prince Exodus?"

"Paano kung ikaw yung tatanongin ko niyan, Genesis. What would you like to wish?"

Huh, that's a question that I've never been asked before.

"If I was going to ask you what you want me to wish for you.. What would that be?" His beautiful brown eyes stared back at me.

The prince knew exactly that he had caught me off guard with his question.

In a small voice with fear of being heard I answered him.

"Wish me free."
