Tae and Jin returned to the house after leaving the police station. Jin looked exhausted, so Tae told him to just go straight to bed and he could shower in the morning.

He then sat in the living room in the dark, worried that they will never have a moments peace. Always having to look over their shoulders, worried that Jin's parents will try to kidnap him. And force him to marry Jungkook.

For them, their marriage would mean a merger of industrial titans for future generations.

Tae's family were powerful people themselves, and they could still hold their own against them. But things will get tougher, other companies will have to choose sides in their rivalry. And in the end, there can only be one number one.

He sits and thinks about how Jin must've suffered after his accident. Not only physically, but mentally. Being told your life was one way, but deep down knowing something was off.

And why would Jungkook go along with everything? He claimed to be Jin's friend. The only conclusion that he could come up with, is that he has also been in love with Jin for years. No one could blame him.

Jin is amazing. He's so thoughtful and kind. He treats everyone equally. No matter their status. He will treat the maids and other help, the same as he would the president. With respect and dignity.

And on top of that, he is exceptionally beautiful. He has never met or seen anyone that could compare.

Tae remembers being told by his parents of how The Kim's and all their family members were the living embodiment of pure evil. How they were only married to others for procreation. Never out of love, and that's why they were always such a hateful, bitter family.

He was once told a story by his grandmother when he was younger. That Jin's grandfather had once loved one of Tae's grandaunt's and she too was in love with him. But that his great grandfather forbade their union, and accidentally (on purpose) killed her when she tripped down the stairs at their family home.

He was then forced to marry another, who was the daughter of yet another wealthy family who wanted connections. And that began the family rivalry.

Tae's family blamed theirs for the death of their innocent family member, whose only crime was falling in love with a Kim. They are the evil Kim's and Tae's are the good Kim's.

At least that's what he's always been told. And why he was forbidden to ever fall with one with one of "those Kim's".

But, it happened regardless of all their warnings. When Tae first saw him in middle school, he was running late to class and stumbled across a student (Jin).
Who was helping another student that had been bullied and pushed into a large mud puddle.

They hadn't noticed Tae and he saw Jin pick him up and gave him his jacket to cover his stained pants. They then walked to Jin's locker and he gave him a pair of his own pants to use. The other student was flustered enough as is, but Jin helping him further made him cry.

Tae then saw Jin pull him into a hug to comfort him, and they then walked to the bathroom to change. When they walked out the student was smiling wide and looked to be alot happier.

He then told Jin thanks and left for his class. Tae then decided to walk the same direction that the student went to. And when Jin turned to walk the opposite direction, he almost bumped into Tae.

He stopped and they stood looking at each other for a few seconds before he said "Excuse me" and kept walking.

Tae then kept walking, but the urge to turn around to take one last look was too strong.
