Complexities of Time Travel

Chapter 2

Wang Yo stared at a confused Soo while he tried to reign in his mixed feelings of elation and anger. He painfully waited 6 years to see her again and now that she was here, she actually had the gall to call him another man's name.

"Jong Hyunssi, where are we?" Go Ha Jin asked. Her eyes widened when she saw Wang Yo tread close to her with what appeared to be a death glare.

"Jong Hyunssi?" His voice deepened as his control threatened to slip away.

"Huh? Do you prefer that I call you Hong Jong Hyunnim instead?" she asked while taking a step back.

"I swear... If you say that name one more time..." Wang Yo threatened, getting closer with each stride.

"Y... Y... Ya!" she stammered. "Just answer me. What are we doing here? How did I get into these clothes?"

He stopped inches away from her and cocked an eyebrow up as he watched her eyes study him. She lifted a hand to touch the top bun on his head and then slowly lowered to rest on his chest where his heart was. His heart skipped a beat. 'Who was this Jong Hyun to her, that she was so comfortable touching him like this?'

"Jong Hyun," she paused and the continued. "-nim? I could've sworn you had short hair yesterday when we..." she trailed off again as a blush crept up her face in recollection of yesterday's events.

Wang Yo took several deep breaths in and out in an attempt to control his temper; and then, he saw her blush in obvious thought of the man that she thought he was. His control instantly flew out the window.

She cleared her throat. "Are you wearing a wig right now? And more importantly, why are you topless? Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the view but..." he grabbed the hand that was on his chest and roughly pulled her closer. His other arm found its way around her waist to lock her in place.

"But what?" he said with gritted teeth and eyes locked on hers, ready to release fire. His eyes travelled down to her lips as it parted with a gasp. All he wanted to do was devour her.

"Its... its distracting..." she trailed off in a whisper as she melted under his gaze and her heart started to palpitate. Her eyes fell to his lips and they both leaned in. Closer and closer... And then... Not far behind Wang Yo, a splash and then a yell echoed.

"A girl! There's a girl in the outer pool! Brothers! Come quick!" cried 10th Prince, Wang Eun, who was hurriedly swimming to get near them.

Ha Jin squealed and pushed on his chest as he hesitantly released her. She took a few steps back in fear of the half-naked men who were standing at attention and trying to get a look of her from far behind Wang Yo. Meanwhile, Wang Yo turned around to face the inner pool and panicked when he saw his 10th brother getting nearer. He racked his brains for a way out when he heard a small voice originating from the rocky area at the edge of the pool.

"Lady Hae Soo! Lady Hae Soo!" the voice said, also in fright. "This way!"

Ha Jin looked around to find the source of the voice and saw a girl who looked like a younger version of Kar Mi Hi signaling for her to follow. She too was dressed in traditional clothes. 'That's weird,' she thought.

"Jong Hyunssi! Let's go that way!" she said as she grabbed his arm and tried to drag him with her.

"You, go! I'll distract them." He stated as he looked at her, a plan forming in his mind.

"Are you sure? They really seem mad," she uttered, voice filled with worry.

"I'll be fine. They won't hurt me." He said as he grabbed her hand and squeezed it in assurance. "I promise."
