The choice between a Hufflepuff and a Slytherin

Chapter 2: Triwizard Tournament

"That's Cedric Diggory from Hufflepuff"

"Oh" you say wondering why he won't look back up at you and then you noticed somebody behind

"Malfoy" you scowl

"Would you hurry up and get back to our compartment Pansy won't stop rambling and I need you to occupy her" he says annoyed

You finish up paying for your sweets and say goodbye to Luna.

As you get back to your compartment you notice Blaise and Pansy arguing yet again. You sigh and sit down repeating to yourself "Your almost to Hogwarts, your almost to Hogwarts"

1 HOUR LATER -------------------------

Your siting at the Slytherin table when Professor Dumbledore starts to talk. "I would like to make an announcement, this castle will no longer be your home this year but home to some very special guests as well, you see Hogwarts has been chosen-" he says before he is interrupted by Mr. Filch running up to him.

They whisper to each other and everyone starts to giggle, I mean it wasn't that funny at least to me.

"So Hogwarts has been chosen to host a legendary event, the TRIWIZARD TOURNAMENT. And for those of you who do not know the triwizard tournament brings together 3 schools for a series of magical contests, for each school a single student is selected to compete. Now let me be clear if chosen you stand alone and trust me when I say these contests are not for the faint hearted but more of that later for now please join me in welcoming.....

"The lovely ladies of Bobaton academy of magic and there head mistress Madame Maxine"

All the boys were practically drooling over them but I didn't see anything to special about them and neither did the rest of the girls. They had there little performance and hurried to go sit over at the Hufflepuff table.

"And now are friends from the North, please welcome the proud sons of Drumstrang and their high master"

OK now this is the entrance I have been waiting for especially for Viktor Krums for gods sake he was known world wide for being the greatest seeker of all time. The boys didn't seem to be to happy that all the girls eyes had fallen on them.

The rest of the speech was a bore considering that to be able to compete in the Triwizard tournament you had to 17 or older which bugged everyone.

Once Dumbledore announced it was time to eat, pieces of parchment fell right in front of everyone which assuming they were our schedules. But something had happened it had fallen dark and it started raining inside everyone was talking and whispering.

And then a tall men bursts out of nowhere and shouts a spell I haven't learned yet. He was an odd looking man with only one eye. He stood there awkwardly before Dumbledore walked up to him to greet him from what I could hear his name was Mad Eye Moody.

Still thinking about what just happened I decided to open my schedule only to see I have defense against the dark arts with Slytherin and Hufflepuff which meant that I could only tell Draco would be so happy for this class. I look over at him and he seems very annoyed with his schedule. You laugh.

"I don't think I said anything funny Y/N" he says angry.

"And I don't remember asking" you say sarcastically. He looks at you very annoyed maybe its the fact he couldn't come up with a good come back or it was just a normal thing at this point.

You eat your food and follow pansy up to your dorm yes, you did share a dorm with pansy for the 4th year in a row. You unpacked and went to bed unprepared for the classes tomorrow.

THE NEXT MORNING

You woke up and "Bloody hell!!" you were late for class. you had no time to do your hair or makeup although you didn't look that bad. You hurried and put your emerald green robe on dreading the moment you will have to walk into defense against the dark arts class with your new teacher.

You are running down the halls once you finally find the classroom. You storm into class everyone staring and Draco laughing at you. You send him a cold glare and he stops.

"Ah Y/N nice of you to finally join us I wouldn't be surprised taking after your parents I see" Professor Mad eye Moody says.

This takes you by surprise because no teacher has ever had the guts to bring up your parents considering not all professors know who your parents really are.

"Nothing to say Y/N ha detention after class oh and also 10 points from Slytherin"

This leaves Draco mad considering you lost your house 10 points on the first day. You look around the room trying to look for an empty seat.

"Oh for god's sake go sit next to Mr. Diggory" Mad eye says his back facing you.

You scan the room trying to find the gentle looking boy from the train. You see him staring at you so you towards the empty seat next to him. As you sit down you see him start to grin and try to hold back a laugh.

"I don't think that was very funny of conversation" you whisper to him in a angry tone.

You look at him and he looks back still trying to hold back a laugh and you roll your eyes.

"Hi i'm Cedric, Cedric Diggory" he says still grinning.
