I woke up to the sound of my alarm. It was soft music that was slowly getting louder by the minute. Although I loved sleeping, it was always easy for me to wake up to my alarm.
Hi! My name is Aggie and I am 17 years-old. Today is the first day of an actual public school. I spent the first 7 years of my life being homeschooled by my mom, before going to an all girls private school in the center of Londan. The only reason I started there was because my mom died in an accident. It used to be a terrible subject for me but it has been so long that I hardly remember the details of it.
Ever since then my dad has been so involved in his work that he couldn't keep up with the homeschooling. That's also a reason why I was now living in Eleydale California. It isn't a very well-known sixty, but my dad got a promotion and was sent here to work.
I was brought out of my thoughts to the sound of my alarm at its max volume. I quickly jumped out of bed and turned off my alarm before turning back around and sloppily making my bed. I was so excited for my first day of school, that I set my alarm to wake me up at 6;00 in the morning. School didn't start for another hour and a half and I wanted to make sure I wouldn't be late. That would leave such an awful impression.
I stretched before walking to the bathroom across the hall from my room. I quickly took a shower and brushed my teeth, before putting in my contact lenses and walking back to my room in a pink robe.
I had already picked out my outfit for school the day before, because I was so excited to be able to wear normal clothes. My past school only allowed us to wear their uniforms.
I had chosen a white blouse and a blue floral skirt. Since it was a bit later in the fall, I also grabbed a light blue cardigan. After putting my clothes on I pulled my hair back with a blue bow, and put on a pair of shoes.

Once I was finished getting ready I picked up my backpack and set off into the kitchen. I had, also, packed my backpack the night before, to make sure I had everything I needed.
I realized there was only 30 minutes left before my school would start so i quickly grabbed a handful of green grapes and a napkin, before setting off to school.
Eleydale Highschool wasn't very far from home, but I needed to walk and I wanted to give myself extra time, just in case I got lost. I had a hard time with directions and I didn't get a chance to explore since i've spent all my time unpacking.
After 25 minutes of walking and a few missed turns, I had finally made it to school. The parking lot was filled with so many students, and I couldn't even guess how many might be inside.
Successfully making my way inside and quickly finding the office, I walked up to, what I believed was the secretaries desk, before softly tapping on the table. I could tell that the lady was deep into what she was working on, and I really didn't want to bother her.
The kind-looking woman looked up from her keyboard and gave me a sweet smile.
"What can I do for you, sweetheart?" I was right! She was already such a kind lady
"H-hello. My name is Aggie Hemming and i'm a n-new student here." I silently cursed myself for talking like I do. I couldn't help that I was very soft-spoken, and I always talked with a stutter when meeting new people.
"Ah yes. I've been waiting for you dear. Here is your class schedule and a little map of the school. I've let your teachers know you're here so you don't need to worry about being marked tardy to any of your classes today." She handed me a few papers, which I silently took from her hand as I listened to her speak.
" Your locker number and combination are also at the top of your schedule, and your locker section is circled on the map. I hope you have an amazing first day, hun"
I was very happy at how much detail was put into my things. I was so scared that I would make a fool out of myself like the girls in all of those highschool movies i've seen.
At the sound of the warning bell, I quickly wished the secretary, which I found out was called Ms. Tilly by the nameplate on her desk, before rushing out of the front office and starting off towards my locker.
I could easily find my locker because it was so close to the office. I put in my combination with little struggle and quickly put in my backpack before taking my things out for my next class. I was also happy that my first class was close to my locker.
There was only a minute or two before class started, so I quickly started walking to my homeroom class. I was looking down at my map to make sure I was going in the right direction, before slamming into a body and falling to the floor.
I know that's such a cliche ending but I didn't want the first chapter to be so long hehe.
