Raven 1 stood, apparently deep in thought. He had just asked for a few minutes of silence, hoping to get some good metaphors and thoughts. Raven 2 stared straight ahead, trying to stand still. He was struggling to stay silent even though it had only been twenty seconds. Raven 3 was struggling as well.
"I'm hungry," Raven 3 blurted.
Raven 1 scowled. "What did I tell you?"
Raven 3 pecked at Raven 1. "I don't care. I want to get food."
"Me too!" Raven 2 squawked.
Raven 1 sighed. "Fine. Let's get food."
The three birds coordinated their flaps, sort of, and made their way towards the city. When they arrived, Raven 2 and 3 hopped around trying to find pieces of food on the ground. Raven 1 had to do a sort of backwards hop so he didn't get dragged on his face.
Raven 2 and 3 were completely unaware of all the stares they were getting. Raven 1 tried not to make eye contact with the people that they passed.
"Auntie, look at that bird! Why does it have 3 heads?"
"Can I touch it? I wanna feed it! It's so big!"
"Alosia, Genissa. Be quiet. Don't teach Milo to touch wild animals. It might have a disease that gives it so many heads."
Raven 2 whipped his head around. "Diseased!?" he yelled. "I'm not diseased!"
The little girls laughed, as their aunt dragged them away.
"Stupid humans, think they're better than us? I'll show them, those little..." Raven 2 continued grumbling to himself while they hopped around.
Raven 1 got bored. This was the third food search they had gone on this hour. They hadn't found more than a piece of a bread crust or a stepped on piece of popcorn. He could be spending this time thinking. The fields of grass always moved beautifully in this kind of weather. It could be like a metaphor for life. When given the right conditions, people could really-
"LOOK!!!" Raven 2 screeched at the top of his lungs.
Raven 1 tried to look at whatever was causing the others so much excitement. Raven 3 started yelling "Come on! Faster! We don't want to let anyone else get it!" They both started hop-sprinting at full speed, Raven 1 trying his best not to fall on his face.
"Hey, slow down! I-" Raven 1 protested. Suddenly, they were in a building. "What are you doing?" Raven 1 hissed. "We're not supposed to be in-" The doors shut in front of him.
"Oh no, no, no. How are we going to get out, idiots?" The other two ignored him. "Why are you ignoring me? Do you not see the problem?"
"Shut up. We found doritos." Raven 2 said between crunches.
Raven 1 twisted his head around, trying to peck one of them. "You dragged me into this building for a bag of chips? Are you-"
Suddenly what Raven 1 thought was a building started moving with them inside. "You dragged me into a bus?!"
"Is that what this is?" Raven 2 looked around, unconcerned. "Huh. Be careful of that person by the way. She's looking at you weird."
Raven 1 turned to see a lady, pressing her entire body up against the wall of the bus, clutching her half open purse to her chest. "Driver!" She screeched.
The man driving the bus glanced behind him. "Is there a problem, Miss?"
"There is a bird inside the bus!"
"Don't worry about it. If you don't bother it, it won't bother you."
The woman looked outraged. "Excuse me? This bird has three heads! I demand that you remove it immediatly!"
The man looked in the rear view mirror. "That is strange, I will admit. Just don't touch it. I'll let it out at the next stop."
The woman looked as though she was going to hit him. "No! Get rid of it now! It took my chips! It's probably diseased with its... three headed-ness!"
Raven 2 spun around as best he could with Raven 3 still burying his head in the bag of chips.
"We're not diseased! We were born like this! You think we like it? Huh? Lemme get at her-" he tried to make his way over to her, pulling Raven 3's head out of the bag.
"I was eating! Stop pulling me! Get over here." Raven 3 spread his wings, slapping Raven 2.
They started fighting. Raven 2 trying to get close enough to peck him and Raven 3 pushing him away with his wings. Raven 1 was pulled from side to side, trying not to get ripped to pieces by the other two.
"It's going to kill itself! Driver! Get it out!" The woman threw a crumpled napkin at them.
The bus slowed down and came to a stop. The doors opened and the woman scurried out the front set, yelling something about calling a manager and taking a better bus company. The bus driver got out of his seat, waving at the people waiting. They started to head for the bus, stopping when they saw the rabid three-headed bird.
Raven 1 twisted around and grabbed the bag of chips. He knew that it would be needed to bring peace after the others stopped fighting. The bus driver stepped into the bus with a piece of cardboard and started pushing the birds out. They somehow managed to land on their feet and haphazardly flapped away.
They stopped a few feet away, well they sort of just crashed, and organized themsleves so they could fly with a bag of chips in their talons. Raven 2 and 3 kept yelling at each other but Raven 1 was just glad that they were all alive and could find their way home.
They crashed into the hole in the tree and unevenly distrubuted the rest of the chips.
