I rested my head against the firm bark of the tree I'm sitting under. Warm winds find themselves blowing past us. I find myself focusing more on that than on the conversation in front of me. 2 of my closest friends since 1st year were going on about something. Ironically they ended up being a couple. And by the sounds of it, they were shipping our classmates.
"Oh! What about Sero and Kami? They're best friends and would make a cute couple!" Mina exclaims. She was practically jumping with excitement at the discovery of a new possible relationship in our class.
"They're always together; they basically share one braincell. They even have their own language! I've also seen them blush when looking at each other, not often.. But often enough to hint something." She says smugly. She smiled after finishing her statement. A smile that could light up the whole damn room. That's the thing with this "bakusquad", they all have these bright ass smiles that can make anyone's day with a single glance. Their damned smiling was contagious, though I must admit, I'm kind of jealous at how easily and quickly they can smile.
"You're right!" Kirishima stated, snapping me out of my little appreciation trance. "I wouldn't be surprised if they ended up together. But in all honesty, Sero is too shy to confess and Kami is too oblivious." He sounded a little bummed at his last comment. Then his face lights up suddenly, some crazy idea had struck him, he gasped.
"What about Deku and Shinso?" He practically shouts. He then pulls his hand up and counts to 10 with his fingers leaving me and Mina confused. "So there's Sero and Kami, Deku and Shin, Yaomomo and Jiro, Kure and Ojiro, Iida and Ura, Me and You, Koda and Sato, Tokoyami and Shoji, Aizawa-sensei and Present Mic, and... Todoroki and Bakugo!" He listed out all the names he could think of leaving our mouths agape.
"Todoroki and Bakugo?!" Mina and I shouted at the same time; making Kiri jump from the new voice added to the conversation.
"I mean, yeah... y'all aren't that different y'know?" I gave a look of confusion, tilting my head to the side slightly. Kiri takes this as a sign to continue, "You both threaten people, didn't want friends at first but then were forced into a group of friends that you love so deeply even if you don't wanna admit it, a little edgy, and you both give off major gay vibes." he chuckled nervously as he finished off his list; giving a side smile hesitant to make eye contact.
Mina suddenly gasps, mouth and eyes wide with a smile. "That's so true!" She broke the small sample of silence; then started laughing. "Oh my god I never looked at it like that! I always thought Deku and Todo would get together but that would make more sense." She stated in between laughs. She struggled to catch her breath as the fit of laughter died down. A smug look then covered her face and she looked over to me, "Bakugo you would be the bottom.. It's so obvious! The way you walk, slightly swinging your hips from side to side, the way you stand with more weight on your right leg than your left leg. Oh don't forget the hand on his hip! It makes you look like such a diva! He even lets me do his makeup when we have Bakusquad sleepovers!" She explains with a big smile and wide eyes.
At this point my face was bright, as bright as a goddamned tomato from her calling out my submissiveness. "Why does that concern you though?! I don't have a thing for halfie and I never will!!" I shout with as little anger as I can manage. Only sometimes does anger management work. "He's too emotionless, he probably doesn't even understand the concept of love! Y'know he was raised by an asshole who didn't express love towards him. PLUS I don't want to tell anyone about my situation right now.." I explained my case only to get a glare from them both. "What?!" I shout only for them to sigh in disappointment. "Nothin, let's just go back to the dorms before we get in trouble." Mina says, a little bummed that we have to go back.
*Back At The Dorms...*
When we returned, we were welcomed with the sight of Sero and Kaminari cuddled together sound asleep on the couch. Apparently they were watching a movie and passed out, now the movie continues, completely forgotten by the two. I can't blame them, it's like 8 o'clock at night, and with the amount of training Aizawa-sensei makes us do on the daily? This is a reasonable time to be exhausted. Mina and Kiri walked out of the room, hand in hand, to go see what the Dekusquad was doing. I pulled out my phone and sneakily took a picture of the peacefully sleeping boys and chuckled lowly. I ran off quickly when I noticed Sero stir a bit; not really paying attention to where I was running. I stumbled into another room, where the rest of our class was gathered. They were sitting in a circle and to be honest I'm surprised their wasn't candles around. "Are y'all summoning something?... Or just gossiping about your crushes?" I asked while giving a questioning look.
The comment earned a couple of giggles from within the circle and Iida looked at me, "No we are not discussing people we have taken a liking too nor are we participating in Tokoyami's nightly activities." This caused everyone to burst out in laughter, Iida, without intentionally doing so, made the last comment seem inappropriate. The comment even caused me to laugh which of course in turn, caused a couple stares.
The room grew quiet with everyone staring at me in shock. A little uncomfortable with the whole room having it's eyes on me, I sat in between Tokoyami and Jiro after checking if Hagakure was sitting there first. "Okay, so if that's not it, then what are y'all doing?" Uraraka broke the silence that consumed us after I spoke. "We were about to play truth or dare!" She smiled her usual bubbly smile. "Oh? What kind?" I asked, slightly intrigued. She was taken aback by my sudden interest but quickly regained herself before answering, "We were just explaining that part! It's where everyone takes a turn spinning the bottle and whoever it lands on has to answer truth or dare. And if they don't do the dare or answer the truth, they have to kiss the person who spun the bottle." She sounded excited while explaining. By this point our commotion had awoken Sero and Kami who were now joining the circle, intrigued by our game.
Some people left, mostly because they didn't really trust others to keep the truths and dares appropriate. After some people vacated, our group remained with the following: Me, Kirishima, Mina, Sero, Kaminari, Jiro, Deku, Iida, Uraraka, Todoroki, Tsu, Shinso and Yaomomo.
We sat in order of the following: Deku, Shin, Kami, Me, Kiri, Ura, Tsu, Sero, Todo, Mina, Jiro, Iida, and Momo. Deku put an empty bottle in the middle of the circle and with a sly smirk said,
" Let the games begin..."
