You are looking through the glass.
You can vaguely see some woodlands landscape, but it seems to be filled with holes.
In those holes, you think you can see glimpses of... stars?

"Are you awake now?"

You turn your head towards that person who just spoke.

"Yes I am."

"Good, how do you feel?

You see four teenagers looking at you, two boys and two girls in high school uniforms. You remember that these people are your classmates.

"I feel a bit empty. Hungry maybe?"

You realize that these are the only people here. There are only grey shadows around you and them.

"When did you get on? We hadn't seen you there."

You are in a train.
It is going pretty fast. You are all holding onto something.

"I don't know. What's going on in here?"

"In here? We're just riding the train"

"To where?"

The train starts slowing down.

"Well I'm stopping here. See you guys!" Said the girl with the round glasses.
As the train stops, she gets off along with some grey shadows who slowly float out by the door.
You can see some buildings outside the train station. It seems like you are now in a small city.

"We're going to where we have to. What kind of question is that?" Answers the young man after a long silence.

The train starts moving again.

"And where do you have to stop?" You ask.

"Well we all have to stop somewhere. Everyone does."

The train is going through mountains now. Everything is bathed in a beautiful purple and yellow light. You can also see a grey mist among the trees that are passing by so fast by the window. The outside world also has an omnipresent grey mist in it. You can see some small cottage houses and even some wild animals.

The train starts to slow down again and stops in a small city, which looks just like the one before, but with a different building layout. Another of your classmates leaves the train with more grey shadows following. There are now half as many as before.

The train now seems to be following a coast. The landscape alternates between abrupt cliffs and beautiful beaches. You can clearly see the sun setting in the distance. There is however nothing but the sea visible on the horizon.
As the train progresses, the gray mist starts to disappear. You can now see the purple and yellow light better. As if someone had put everything under a powerful color filter. There are no "holes" anymore in this landscape, and you can see a small village on the coast. The kind of village where fishermen live.

"Well it's my turn then" Says one of the two remaining classmates.
Along with him, almost all of the shadows leave.

This time, the train starts going into the ocean. There are no more rails, but the train still goes full speed into the distance.
Into the sunset.

"Are you going to leave me too?" You ask your remaining friend.

"I have to. It's next stop for me."

"I don't want to be alone."

"Everyone ends up alone someday. It cannot be avoided."

He takes a deep breath before continuing.

"Others become memories, then you eventually forget. And of course, at some point it's your turn."

The train slows down. You have no way of holding him back now.

"So what comes after that?"

"After that? There is no 'after that'. There never was."

He looks at you deep in the eyes as the train finally comes to a stop in a small train station, in the middle of the ocean. He then turns around and puts on his backpack.

"Goodbye."

You are now alone in that train. Riding into the distance.
Into the sunset.

For what seems like anexceedingly long time, nothing happens. Eventually the train slows down again.

Again, there is only water around a very small train station. There is nothing else around it.  You don't want to get off.

The train starts moving again.

This time, everything around you starts getting brighter. The train is still at full speed.

Almost everything starts to turn white. It is so bright, yet not hurting your eyes.

After what seemed like hours, the train stops again.
You can barely see a small train station outside the window. Everything is so blazingly bright.
The doors open.

The train is not departing again. In fact, you cannot hear a single sound anymore.

You grab your bag.

You step out.
