Later today I'm going to the Galápagos Islands with my little sister, Blaze, and we're packing now. She's in her room, and I'm in mine. The walls of my room are painted a magnificent ice blue. My bed is almost the exact same color, except it has beautiful, white snowflakes covering it. My wardrobe is usually filled with loads of crop tops and short shorts, but now, it's almost bare. Most of my clothes and all of my devices are loaded into a duffle bag as big as Santa's sack. My favorite piece of my room is my carpet. It's so cool, a faux polar bear skin, the white is soooo white, I think it's called Baby Milk White. I just love it so much! And of course, my favorite colors are black and purple. JK! Blue and white.

I look at my watch and go to check to see if Blaze is done packing. I walk across the hall to her majorly fire decaled room and immedietly step onto her amazingly warm, soft, black rug. It's weird, the only place I ever get cold is in HER room, and with all the fire decals and colors, shouldn't it make me feel cozy? I hate the feeling of the cold, so I avoid her room as much as possible without a sweater.

I start to feel woozy from the cold, as my body isn't used to the feeling, I don't think I'll ever get used to it. is sit down on her red, orange, yellow, and black striped bunk bed. Oh, just what I need, there's a cup of water on her desk, which exactly matches her bedside-table, white with black, red, orange, and yellow paint splats. I walk over and remember what I came here to check, where's Blaze and her packing?

"Blaze, where are you?" I call out foolishly.

My somehow good looking, style wise punk sister climbs down from the top bed with headphones on, her almost shoulder length hair in a sloppy ponytail. Looking at me with a bored smirk.

"What?" she says loudly.

"I came to see if you had packed, and apparently you haven't" I say.

"Yes, I did, where do you think the bag you rudely dumped on my floor last night went, stupid? Probably sprouted legs and walked away." "It's downstairs, I packed this morning." Now she's really smirking and looks lik she's about to die from trying not to laugh.

"This morning!" I exclaim! "It's only 8 am!" I scream.

Now she's lost her cool: Blaze starts fidgeting with her piercings. First her nose ring, then one at a time, her eight earrings, four on each ear in this specific order. She starts with the bottom one, a moon, then the star, then the diamond, and finally the metal stud. Next ear same order.

"When did you get up?" I ask accusingly.

She guiltily responds. "4:45"

I huff and leave the room. I feel like a mom, but that girl really needs more sleep.

Inside my room, I start to, as Blaze calls it, Mega Bun Braid my hair. 15 minutes later, I'm done. My butt length hair is now in a large braid bun on the back of my head and I am much calmer. I call to Blaze to meet me downstairs, then call a taxi up and lug my bag down the stairs.

The taxi has a grimy, yellow exterior, and the inside smells like cigarette smoke.

"Where 'ya goin'?" the taxi driver, a tall man, slightly potbellied man with a pierced ear and slicked black hair, surprisingly hot, asks. He looks up and down me, rolls his eyes, and looks at Blaze. Then he flippin' LICKS HIS LIPS AND NODS!

"Reno–Tahoe International Airport." Blaze questions, glaring at him, her sapphire eyes coldly sparkling. Even the stupidest man alive would know that meant to back off.

"To RNO we go." he sets the taxi meter, and waits a few seconds for the cash to roll in.
