On the Rooftop

Laksh: You should break off this planned engagement at once.

Drishti: Why should I? Just a minute ago you were badly charmed by me.

She stares at him intently.

Laksh: Because... Because I already like a girl who is sweet and kind unlike you. You are just a spoiled child.

Drishti: Oh really then introduce her to me. (She wants to meet her love rival.)

*He looks around and pulls a girl who is pushing the trolley of plates* (Now this girl is the poor pretty shy typical type of girl found in most dramas)

Laksh: Here you go meet her, this is the girl I like.

The girl looks at Laksh and plays along.

Ananya: Hi I am Ananya.

Drishti: Well I am Drishti Sood. Laksh's fiancee.

Ananya gets shocked and staggers backward. She clutches Laksh's arm and says

Ananya: umm... she is pretty Laksh Sir I guess she matches you.

Drishti: (thinking to herself) What is with this girl? and Laksh sir? And why is she clutching to him???

To Drishti her desperate attempts at being fragile and innocent were clear but to others, they weren't.

Drishti: Well you should get along with your work and stop clinging to my fiancee.

She stumbles back and breaks a very expensive plate. Drishti points out how difficult it would be for her to pay back for it but Laksh decides to be her hero and claims that he will pay for it. Laksh plans to leave along with Ananya but Drishti tries to stop him and somehow both the girls lose their balance.

Laksh decides to save Ananya leaving Drishti to fall into the pool and get soaked.  However, Rakshit is nearby and he decides to help her out. Drishti mumbles something but Rakshit simply leaves after helping her.

As Rakshit tries to dry himself he notices his watch has gotten wet and is now broken. Someone standing near him asks him to ask that rich girl that he saved to replace his watch but he simply leaves.

NEXT MORNING

The pictures of Drishti drenched in the pool make headlines and she vows to make Laksh fall in love with her madly and then she plans to leave him after taking revenge.

To make a filmy accidental encounter, Drishti jogs in the place near Laksh's house to wait for him. A guy rides past on a bicycle and thinking that it's Laksh, Drishti blurts out, "Hey what a coincidence, we meet—" except it's Rakshit again. He ignores her and rides off, but not before dropping a notebook.

Drishti picks up the notebook and next bumps into Ananya, causing Ananya to drop the cake she was holding. Drishti apologizes and offers to buy her another one. However, Just then Laksh comes. He warns Drishti to stay the hell away from Ananya. Drishti just laughs at him for sounding like an outdated drama script.

Ananya runs off, and Drishti remembers her own script: "Hey what a coincidence, we meet again!" She then finally convinces Laksh to meet her later for tea.

Drishti arrives fashionably late to the date, but Laksh is nowhere to be seen. To make matters worse, her mother Nyra had also arranged for reporters to photograph the date. Unlike a typical female lead, Drishti immediately calls her missing date only to realize he was just playing with her and was never going to show up. She again vows revenge and decides to go shopping.

She visits the bookstore to get some novels. She dons a big pink baseball cap to hide her face, but it fools no one, especially not Rakshit, who works at the bookstore as its giant bear mascot. Drishti thinks the bear is part of the decor and sits down next to it.

She begins to talk to herself as she doodles. Drishti mumbles on about Rakshit for causing all of her problems. Because of all the mess-ups recently, she feels like she can't do anything right.

Yup so basically she claims that everything is Rakshit's fault. She begins to punch the bear repeatedly, until Rakshit who is in the bear costume says, "Enough!" Drishti is startled that there's a person inside and asks if he heard everything she said earlier. Rakshit waddles away as fast as he can.

Drishti is about to run after him, but the bookstore owner stops her and asks her to pay for the books. Drishti left her wallet in her car, so Rakshit reappears and pays for her. He then pats her head, aww. Drishti asks for his contact info to pay him back, but he refuses, which results in Drishti chasing the bear across town.

*For Context* Rakshit payed while he was in the bear costume and also Drishti has no idea that it is Rakshit who is in the costume.
