More Than A One Night Stand

The Confrontation 

"Can I get another sailor with 7-up?"

I wait patiently as the bartender mixes my drink. Maddie and Octavia are now clearly drunk off their asses. They've found someone to dance with. I watch from a distance into the crowd of people just thinking to myself how much better it would be sitting on my couch binge watching Gossip Girl. I'm slowly beginning to feel less sober and becoming less tense and stressed. I don't get the obnoxious type of drunk or the angry kind of drunk. I just get really mellow and don't give a fuck. I whisper to myself "Bottoms up." and drink the rest of my drink until the ice hits my lips. I shake my head with a sour face, letting out an audible exhale. I try to locate Octavia and Maddie, stumbling through the crowd of intoxicated party animals, but I can't find them. I give up and decide to just take a seat at the bar. My head starts to spin and I just wanna go home at this point. I've drank way too much and am strangely craving pizza and Dr Pepper...with maraschino cherries.

I sit by myself and ponder at the fact that pretty much everyone in the room is dancing with someone, having an amazing time. Except me...

I rub my eyes and look up through a drunken haze and see across the room, a tall, mysterious man looking straight at me as if I were his prey. I don't know what it is about him, but it's like there's a force pulling me towards him. I get up off the stool and begin to make my way over to the mysterious figure. He's wearing a white button-up shirt with his sleeves rolled up, revealing his arms covered in tattoos accompanied by a pair of ripped, black skinny jeans. He wore a pair of classic black Converse. I, myself wore a black tight-fit dress that accentuated every single curve of my body. I wore a pair of black heels with straps that wrapped around my ankles. I could see in his eyes that he wanted nothing but me. Our eyes locked. I stood in front of him looking at him as if he were the only person in the room. He looked right back at me.
