Ling x Reader
(Y/n)'s POV~~~
My eyes flutter open. With killing headache, I tried to get up. 'What happened? Where am I?' I thought to myself as I was unable to remember what happened to me. Luckily most of my memory was intact except my past. 'What is this place?' I looked around to see trees all around me. 'Seems like I'm in a forest.' I made an intuition. 'What should I do? Where should I go?' I was utterly confused. Before I could think of anything, some demons surrounded me. They were too scary, what else could I do but to scream out for help. "Ahhhhh...." My scream echoed throughout the forest. I waited for a while as they came closer to me. I could tell they were also being cautioned. I wanted to run away but how? They were all around me. I was scared to death now. 'Someone....Please help.' I begged. My hope was fading with every step of demon. My legs gave up. 'This is the end.' And I looked at sky with tears running down my cheeks. A feather of peacock was falling freely which I caught. 'What is such a beautiful thing doing in the middle of this hideous place?' It was the first question that came into my mind when I looked at the feather with admiring eyes. For a split second, I was completely distracted from demons. That's when the sound of slashing blade rang into my ear, all the demons were now on the ground and before me stood, a thin tall man with light blue cloths and hatred in eyes. He stared at me with those magenta eyes. It was so sudden for me. I wanted to thank him with the bottom of my heart but no words came. I was captivated by his presence. He sighed so lightly and started going back. That move brought me back to reality, I got a hold onto myself and tried to follow him. "Wait." But maybe he didn't like the idea, he increased his speed a bit. He was the first human I saw here, I couldn't let go of him. 'I don't know what I would do if I lose him? I don't want to be here alone.' I thought as I tried my best to keep up with him. But alas! He easily got rid of me. I sighed heavily. I was again in the same situation of where-to-go but this time, I was deeper into the forest. But I was glad that someone else was also there. I gathered my courage and wandered around with the slight hope of finding him again. I clutched onto that feather as I took slow steps. After an hour of walking, I finally found him. He was swinging his blade in elegant manner. I couldn't help but stare at him from bush. "Come out, I know you're there." He said while looking in my direction from corner of his eyes. I jumped to hear him but showed myself. "Umm...Thank you for...saving me back then. I thought...I was going to die..." I had no further words. He just rolled his eyes and said with cold voice. "It's not a big deal. Go home now." He went back to his training. "But..." I said with sorrowful voice. "I don't have a home to go back." I waited for the reply but it seemed like he didn't care even a bit. He continued his training while I just stood there nervously. After half an hour or so, he finally stopped. He put back his blade and looked at me. My eyes shone with hope that he would help me in some way. But without saying a word, he went somewhere. My eyes were teary now. I had no strength left to follow him again. I just went forward and explored that space where he was training. It seemed like it was his house. There was some wood for fire. I sat there hopelessly and cried. After a while, that person came back with 4 fishes in his hand. He looked at me with those cold eyes again. Again, without saying a word, he lit the fire and started cooking them. I also didn't speak a single word until "You must be hungry." He said without looking at me. My face brightened up. Well, he was right, I was so hungry but I didn't expect him to help me considering the cold stares he gave me till now. I got up and sat across him with fire between us. He gave me a fish which I started eating. He also took one. "Oh, I'm (Y/n)." 'Maybe he isn't that bad.' I thought while introducing myself. "Ling." I smiled at him. He was just focused on eating. It was so silent when we took our dinner. He put out fire and we prepared to go to sleep. He climbed up the tree but I couldn't. I stayed on the ground but since it was dark, I was afraid those demons might show up again. I sat on the ground with my knees folded to my chest. I was slightly shacking too. Ling must have noticed because he came down near me. "Demons won't come here, go to sleep." He assured me. His words put me to peace and I fell asleep.
