Your on your way home from the pizzaria, running your thumb along the brim of your new security cap as you slowly go towards Hunter's place. The warmth of the pizza in your lap being very comfortable as you realize how tired you feel after today, with it being really mentally taxing.
(Richard)"Damn I am going to need something to keep me awake."
You say, thinking out loud to yourself
(Hunter)"you know that you could just give up on your thing with caffeine and chug coffee"
He says as you shake your head no
(Richard)"I dont need anything like that. I get that you like caffine but it's just unhealthy."
You say as he chuckles
(Hunter)"hey man, your loss"
He says as you shrug
(Richard)"I will be fine. I don't need anything like energy drinks or coffee, Just something spicy"
You say as you think of what you have back home that might help
(Richard)"'well I do have those dried out ghost peppers"'
You say as you think of that gift you got last year, a bag of 50 dried out ghost peppers that should be able to wake you up for a few hours a piece.
After a while longer of driving, you see the driveway come up and watch as Hunter drifts up and parks the car before exiting, as well as locking the doors after you follow him out amd you both walk in, the pizza now cold but still looking good as you toss them in the fridge and set the alarm on your phone.
(Richard)"alright, this should wake me up at about 11:15"
You say as you turn the alarm volume up and set it on the table next to the couch as you sit and close your eyes. Resting them for a second.
You jump at the sound of a loud alarm as you panic and quickly turn it off before Hunter wakes up
(Richard)"Fuck too loud"
You whisper as you sit down and rub your eyes, hoping to open them with lots of energy, only to feel them open slowly, like they were full of lead as you stand up and stretch
(Richard)"'I shouldnt have set the alarm so early. I dont have anything to do for like, 15 minutes"'
You say as you turn on your phone and start listening to Blood In The Water by a band called Grandson
(You can listen to it if you want. It doesn't affect anything, I just enjoy the song.)
You listen to it as you turn the volume up on your phone and sit back, enjoying the song as you open your eyes again and see that its now 11:45
(Richard)"Shit thats just my luck! I gotta get there and fast!"
You say as you run out the door, food and keys in hand as you lock the door and run outside, opening up Hunter's car as you see its full of gas as you peel rubber getting out of there, punching the address to the pizza place into your phone as you get out of there as fast as possible.
