I woke up surprisingly early today; it was around half past seven in the morning and it was just getting bright outside. The sun was shining through the curtains and I could just tell today was going to be a good day. Well, I knew it was going to be good because I was going to hang out with someone very special to me- Cedric Diggory. Cedric and I have been friends since we were little kids, as our parents have worked with each other for years. Cedric's two years older than me, so unfortunately we don't have any lessons together, but whenever he has free time, we try to hang out and I love hanging out with him. He is very sweet, kind and funny, he always cheers me up. If I'm being honest, sometimes I feel like Cedric is more than just a friend to me, but I doubt the feeling is mutual so I just try to not think about it. At the end of the day, it's not that big of a deal, right?
I finally got out of bed. It was still quite early, so I had to be very quiet as I didn't want to wake my roommate up, Luna. She was a very wholesome girl and I was happy that we shared a dormitory, although there were times where I found it very difficult to have a normal conversation with her. I walked up to the huge, arched window in my room and I moved the royal blue, brown curtain aside, just to let some sun in. Then I went into the bathroom to get ready for the day. I took a quick, but warm shower; I exfoliated every inch of my body and I used my favourite strawberry shampoo to wash my hair. I got out of the shower, dried my body, I blow tried my hair, got dressed in my school uniform and I put my hair in a high ponytail. I took some baby hair out, I liked the messy look; Cedric did too, he always complimented me with that hairstyle.
When I got out of the bathroom, I had only 15 minutes left until my first lesson of the day, so I quickly packed my books and I run out of the Ravenclaw common room.
My first lesson was Transfiguration, which I shared with Slytherins. It was actually one of my favourite subjects and I didn't mind the people in my class. Of course, there were certain people who were just purely mean and annoying and I'd rather not share any classes with them, such as Draco Malfoy or Pansy Parkinson, but I have to admit, they were pretty smart. As I was rushing to the class, I ran into the person I was looking forward to seeing since the moment I woke up.
"Hey, Goldilocks!!" Cedric shouted. A few people turned around and looked at me and I couldn't help, but blush. As he walked up to me, he gave me a big, warm hug. He wrapped his big arms around me and I cuddled into his chest.
"Hi, Cedric, it's great to see you" I said. I was very happy to see his face, it felt like home.
"I love your hairstyle, little one. How are you feeling?" he asked and giggled.
"I'm fine, Cedric" I said. "I see you in the afternoon though, right?" I wanted to make sure our plans were still on. Cedric had a tendency to cancel our plans or to just forget about them, due to all of his school responsibilities. It always made me upset, but I tried to be understanding.
"Yes of course. I can't wait for our little picnic" he said and smiled. I smiled back and hugged him again, before I had to leave him for class. He gave me a tight hug and slowly walked away to join his friends.
The lesson was going smoothly, we just started learning about Human Transfiguration and I thought it was a brilliant topic. I was very satisfied with the lesson until Professor McGonagall announced we had a a project to do.
"This project will be based on teamwork. I want you to experiment transfiguration with a partner and write a detailed report". It seemed a little too good to be true, since writing reports on experiments is one of my favourite types of homework. I was satisfied with the information we were given until she spoke about assigning partners.
"I have already assigned your partners, as I want you to become more comfortable with working with people who are not necessarily your friends" I sighed. I have a bad luck when it comes to having assigned partners. Last year, I had to do a project for Astrology and my partner was Lavender Brown and it was the worst week of my life. This girl wouldn't shut up about this boy she had a crush on and she didn't even try work with me. Luckily it was just Astrology, so I wasn't too worried about not getting the best grade.
