February's Hot Movies

The world is crawling with great movies, It just depends on if you can tell if it's good or not. Or, of course, some may just not catch your fancy.

My job is to make sure you find the best, greatest and most lovable movies that are out right now for you to watch.

Top five

1· American sniper

U.S Navy Seal, Chris Kyle, is sent to Iraq for one mission and one mission only. To protect his brothers in arms. However, his reputation is growing behind enemy lines. He faces other problems, trying to be a good husband and father at home. He sticks to the motto " leave no man behind" But what if the war is what he can't leave behind.

5 stars

Great plot line and interesting, always keeps you on the edge of your seat and never wanting to miss a second of it.

2. Into the Woods

This modern twist on the beloved Brothers Grimm fairy tales puts together the plots of a few selected stories and explores the consequences of the characters' wishes. The humorous and heartfelt musical follows the classic tales of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Rapunzel - all tied together by an original story involving a baker and his wife, their wish to begin a family and their interaction with the witch who has put a curse on them.

Four stars

Some people may not be aware like I was when I watched this movie that it was indeed a musical, that's the only reason it has four stars instead of five. The costumes were phenomenal and the acting was great also. Also, sadly people thought Johnny Depp was a main, important character when he only had about 9 minutes of screen time.

3. Night At The Museum 3

At the Museum of Natural History, there's new exhibit being unveiled. Larry Daley who manages the night exhibit as the exhibits come to life because of the Tablet of Ahkmenrah is in charge of the presentation. Although when the exhibits go wild, Larry finds himself in trouble. He learned that the Tablet is corroding so he does some research and learns that Cecil, the former museum guard was at the site when the Tablet was discovered. He tells Larry that they were warned that if they remove it could mean the end. Larry realizes it means the end of magic. He talks to Ahkmenrah who says that he doesn't know anything. Only his father the Pharoah knows the Tablet's secrets. He learned that the Pharoah was sent to the London museum. So he convinces, Dr. McPhee the museum curator to help send him to London. He goes and takes Ahkmenrah with him, but some of the others like Teddy Roosevelt, Attila, Octavius, and Jedediah come with him.

Five stars

Great follow up to the original two movies and amazing plot and acting. Definitely deserves this be in the top 5.

4. Hot tub time machine 2
(Coming soon, February 20)

When Lou (Rob Corddry) finds himself in trouble, Nick (Craig Robinson) and Jacob (Clark Duke) fire up the hot tub time machine in an attempt to get back to the past. But they inadvertently land in the future with Adam Jr. (Adam Scott). Now they have to alter the future in order to save the past... which is really the present, in the sequel from the same team that brought you the original hit movie.

Sounds very interesting and hopefully will live up to the originals popularity and reputation.

5. The Lazarus Effect
(Coming February 27)

As revealed through found footage, a group of medical researchers attempt to reawaken the dead, only to find that they've created another monster entirely.

Sounds extremely thrilling and exciting. Like almost all found footage movies, it will most likely be scary, and definitely belongs in the top five.
