What do you feel when you dance? The dance doesn't have to be smooth or calculated. It can be frantic, and it can look like you don't know what you are doing. Aiden felt calm, collected, and, most importantly, happy. Aiden knew what he was doing, but that didn't make it any less fun for him.
Even after 10+ years, dancing still felt new to him. It almost felt like he just discovered it. The feelings from teaching and dancing were so drastically different. Teaching made Aiden want to poke his eyes out with pencils. Dancing made him want to sing and dance on the streets (he would never do that, though).
Weirdly enough, dancing made him forget his about his problems. Cliche, I know. Each step he took was a problem that vanished. Once he is done dancing, his problems would rush back.
But that was what dancing was to him, a getaway.
When dancing, Aiden forgot about school, his mental problems, how he didn't have the chance to apologize to his parents.
Aiden shook his head. He couldn't think of this right now. No, he wasn't dancing. He was laying bed. He just got back from his own personal Hell (school). It mentally drained him, which was why he was in bed tucked under three blankets.
It was the weekend, which meant that Aiden had the whole weekend to himself. There would be no horrid, troublesome kids bothering him. Most teachers say that they thought of some of the children as their own, loved them as their own..But Aiden wasn't like that, no. He almost despised children.
Hell would have to freeze over before he loved one of those kids as one of his own.
Speaking of Hell, Aiden wanted to finish his episode of Lucifer. He was on the last episode of season three. He had heard about how the season ended, so now he had to see it for himself.
"WHAT?!" Aiden threw his hands up in the air. The ending reminded him of the season six finale of Dexter, and the first episode of season seven.
A little thing about Aiden is that he liked cop shows, and not really the cliche kind. Yes, I know, Lucifer is a bit on the cliche side, but it's a good show. But Dexter (maybe a cliche?) was Aiden's favorite TV show. He read Darkly Dreaming Dexter before watching the show.
So, you can only imagine his disappointment when he noticed Showtime had changed multiple things. However, that didn't stop Aiden from loving the show. He slowly became emotionally connected to the characters. Dexter, Debra, Rita...Aiden loved all the characters. He loved the acting, everything.
Aiden got out of his thoughts and looked at the clothes that were starting to pile. He didn't want to do laundry, he didn't want to clean. He wanted to stay in bed so bed so he could sleep. But, unfortunately, he was an adult, so he had to do adult things. He couldn't just lay around anymore.
An hour or so had passed and Aiden was dead tired. It was his weekend. He should be doing weekend things. I mean, cleaning is a weekend thing, but he should also have fun.
So, after a quick nap and shower, Aiden got dressed and started to get ready to leave to a studio. The studio Aiden was thinking about was a dancing studio near his house.
Aiden was dressed in black basketball shorts and a tight red muscle tee. That was what he normally wore when he danced. He could dance in uncomfortable clothes if he wanted to. He tried not to do so, though.
The little HHR stared at Aiden as he stood, looking back. He was trying to figure out if he wanted to dance or not. This was his first time in a while that he would be able to dance. But, at the same time, he was tired. School was slowly killing him.
