Chapter 2.

Stomach Tied In Knots.

"Please hurry. Run as fast as you can okay?"I spoke softly. Trying to sneak a few woman and children out before they can be harmed with my father. One of the kids tripped and I looked down to see a beautiful girl. She moaned out in pain and the smell of fresh blood invaded my nose. "Keep running straight until you are out of the woods. Then you will be completely safe. Please hurry." They nodded and ran. "You boy." A deep voice boomed, I saw a nervous boy stand at attention. "Bring that girl to me. We must burn all the bodies." He began walking and the only thing I could do was knock him out and drag her to safety.

I shot up alarmed. I looked over to see my beta Kyler walking in. "Oh good you're awake. We are leaving for Virginia in a hour. So you might want to take a shower. Don't want to meet your mate all sweaty and dirty, do we?" I growled at his condescending tone. "I'm your Alpha you will respect me. Please leave I must pack and ready myself for today." He bowed his head in respect and left silently. I hurriedly went to the bathroom and removed my clothes stepping into the hot water. I need her. I need to find her soon I'm slowly losing my last bit of sanity.

I grabbed the last bit of clothes and shoved them into my suitcase. I snatched it up and walked down the stairs and out to my packs car. "Alpha we are leaving for the airport in a minute or so. Would you like anything before we go?" My third in command asked. "Can you bring Annie to me? I would like a female to accompany me. To be quite frank I only trust her to help with this." The man nodded and went off to find her. Annie is a 16 year old girl I saved from a rouge attack. Her pack and family was murdered but I managed to save her. And a few other woman and children. But Annie had no wear to go so I let her join our pack. She's the best friend I've ever had.

"You asked for me Tony?" Annie asked. Startling me in the process. Her attire consisted of a white sundress. Her golden blonde hair framed her face in perfect curls. She's honestly a beautiful girl. "Ah yes. Did you pack your bags? We will be living there for awhile. The maids will the rest of our items and send them later." She grinned and threw her bag in the trunk.

"I really hate airplanes Tony." She gulped as the pilot announced we were taking off. Her hand gripped the seat tightly and she whined ever so softly. I laid my hand on her arm rubbing back and forth soothingly. "It'll be okay. I promise. Calm down love." She nodded slowly and closed her eyes while resting her head on my shoulder. Soon her breathing shallowed and I could tell she was asleep. I leaned my head back and shifted to a comfortable position and dosed off too.

"Annie wake up. We landed. We are in Virginia." She groaned but woke up none the less. "Where are we staying?" She asked in a groggy voice. "I got a little town house it's got 3 bedrooms 2 baths a kitchen and a living room. Good enough for you?" She smiled and nodded.

"We are going to school." I said calmly. "What?!? I refuse." I stared shocked "I outrank you. And you will follow my orders. Understood?!" I barked in a voice full of authority. She looked down frightened and upset. My insides churned knowing I hurt her feelings. She's like my baby sister I'm supposed to protect her. Not hurt her. "Look Annie I need her. I'm dying with out her my wolf is on edge. I need to find her and this is the only place we haven't looked in the states so please help me.." I said softly. She looked up and nodded walking away silently.

When we got to the town house we split up and went to our rooms. She was still upset I used my alpha voice on her. I fell fast asleep in hopes of finding my mate soon.

"Iris it's your birthday.. Oh my god you're 18 right?!?" Spencer all but screamed. Today is my 18th birthday. I dread birthdays. They just celebrate the day my horrid life started. Nodding slowly I looked at him confused as to why it matters. "Holy balls!! You will find your mate soon!!" He squealed and jumped around excitedly. I groaned "Spence.. You know I don't have a mate. And if I do I will reject him." I left him to get to my locker
