Chapter 9: Suppressor

In the middle of the night, while everyone in the dormitory was asleep, Hu Yu stealthily snuck onto the balcony to make a phone call. He understood that instead of developing an unhealthy relationship with Fu Anli during his heat period, it’d be better for him to break it off as soon as possible. Drinking poison to quench thirst is what he needed now.  

“Hello, cousin…” Hu Yu whispered into his mobile phone.  

“…” there was a rustling sound on the other end, and then  a hoarse and impatient voice that sounded like they had just woke up answered. “It’s two o’clock. Even if you don’t have class tomorrow, I have to go to work!”  

“Brother, help me!” Hu Yu didn’t dare to tell his parents about it, so he could only confide in his cousin whom he was close to..  

“Say it!” the male voice on the other end said to Hu Yu angrily, whilst soothing someone else next to them in a low voice 

Hu Yu knew that he had woken up his sister-in-law, and his heart became tense. He quickly asked, “Brother, do you know how to stop or delay the heat period?”  

The other end of the phone was silent for a moment, then a lowered voice said, “Why? Haven’t you found your partner? Brother met your sister-in-law when I was still wearing open-crotch pants. Aren’t you too late?”  

Hu Yu didn’t know whether it was fate or something else, But fox demons usually meet their other half before they grow up. Hu Yu’s parents met when they were in grade two, and his cousin Hu met his partner even earlier.  

“I…” Hu Yu intuitively couldn’t let his cousin know that he had met his partner, but the other person didn’t like him. “So, is there any way to stop the heat period?”

Cousin Hu tsked and then slowly said, “There is no way to stop it, only postpone it, but I have never heard of a fox who has tried, you are really the only one.”  

Hu Yu’s eyes lit up when he heard that there was a way out, “What can I do?”

After all that, Hu Yu could finally sleep at ease. He dreamed that he was holding a bottle of wormwood juice as tall as him and saying coldly to Fu Anli, “You go away, I have juice, I don’t need you anymore!”
