Whenever a child is born, they're immediately given a locket which is to be never taken off. Over time, the locket adapts to the wearer and then opens when they connect with their soulmate. The wearer might find their soulmate, but it could take time to open up. Even if the locket is closed, a sign the other is their soul mate is that the locket will start to glow with particles. The color and shape of the stone will be the same as their soulmates and will glow very bright when they are near each other. Not once, has a soulmates stone color and shape been different, but that all changed one day.
