JJ's POV

(2012)

There she stood. The most beautiful girl in my world. She looked so angelic, so beautiful, standing there wearing a white lace dress that came to her mid thigh, her classic green hoodie over top, no doubt to annoy her mom.

"Go." Gilinsky said as he gave me a light push. It seemed as if everything was perfect, the first time I'd talk properily to my crush of 4 years, was at a wedding. Her cousin, I think, was marrying Jack's older close cousin. Our family was invited as we all kinda grew up together, and her family was invited for obvious reasons.

I adjusted my short sleeved button up shirt and walked over to her, realising she was wearing white converse too.

"Hi." She said smiling at me as I arrived in front of her. God, her beautiful, soft voice.

"Hi Y/N." I said as I ran my fingers through my hair, out of nervous habit.

"Why are you nervous?" She asked smiling as she shoved her hands in her pockets. Her nervous habit.

"I could ask you the same thing." I replied and she giggled a little.

"Well, Johnson." She started. "You look almost too good." She said and I smiled. I was about to compliment her when someone announced the people singing their wedding song.

"Wish me luck." She said before pecking my cheek. She walked up onto the stage as I turned and watched her nervously adjust her dress.

"Um, I'm Y/N Sarah's cousin." She said smiling at the bride and groom. "I think we owe Nana a lot due to the fact she sent us to Nebraska." She said as she found me and smiled. "It's been good for all of us." She added on and I smiled at her. She blushed and looked back at her brothers. They started playing Just The Way You Are, by Bruno Mars and her angelic voice filled our ears.

Jack walked over to me and we both watched Y/N sing beautifully as the bride and groom danced together.

"She's beautiful." I breathed out starring up at her.

"You have to ask her to dance. You saw her look at you when she said it's been good for all of us." He suggested and I looked up at him.

"Should I?" I asked nervously. He looked down at me and nodded his head.

"You should, I give you permission to dance with my best girl friend." He said before walking away. I looked up at her and a smile spread across my face as she sang the last note. Everyone clapped and she blushed again. Her sister walked up on stage as she walked off and approached me.

"Gosh, I've never been so nervous in my life." She said and I smiled.

"You're beautiful and perfect, as always." I said giving her the compliment I was going too. She blushed and looked down as she shuffled from one foot to another. I looked down at the perfect girl I was head over heals in love with and smiled.

"Do you wanna dance?" I asked and she looked up, looking surprised but happy.

"I'd love too." She said and I took her hand in mine and lead her over to the dance floor where many couples were dancing. I looked at Jack who was dancing with one of Y/N's little sisters who was 5 or 6, he smiled at me and I looked down at Y/N.

I placed my hands on her waist as she put hers loosely around my neck. My mom and dad danced past and dad motioned for me to take her hand in mine as if we were walzing. I removed my right hand from her waist as she removed her left hand from my neck. I held her hand carefully in mine and pulled her a little closer. She moved her hand so she was also holding me close, her hand loosely hooked over my arm and her fingers softly, hooked around my shoulder. She rested her head on my chest as we slowly swayed to the music. I looked down at her as she looked up at me.

"Can I tell you something?" I asked and she stopped leaning on me. She looked up at me, staying close to me and all I wanted to do was kiss her soft lips.

"Mmhmm." She hummed as she nodded her head slowly. I starred into her eyes and she looked at my lips and then back up at my eyes. I got the memo and leant down as she looked up more at me.

At first, I softly grazed my lips over hers, just to savour the moment before my dreams of kissing her would come true. Sure, I'd kissed other girls but I had never wanted a kiss so much. After a second or two, I finally, softly pushed my lips against hers and it was something so different, so special, I wanted it to last forever.

As our lips moved slowly and passionately in sycn, volts of energy rushed through my body as my heart raced so fast, I thought it would explode out of my chest. As we pulled away from one another I heard some people clapping. I assumed it was for the bride and groom but when I looked, they were clapping too, looking at us.

"I swear my family are the most embrassing people ever." Y/N mumbled as she buried her head in my chest. I smiled and kissed the top of her head.

"Tell me about it." I said and she giggled a little as she looked up at me.

"A picture stands for 1000 words." She said and I chuckled.

"So, um. What were you gonna tell me?" She asked nervous again. We were still moving slowly to the music, and I almost forgot that I was gonna ask her out.

"Do you wanna go out sometime?" I asked her. She blushed and smiled as she went on her tippy toes and pecked my lips softly.

"That's all?" She asked smirking a little.

"Y/N, will you be my girlfriend?" I asked and she smiled widely.

"Yes." She said as she hugged me. I smiled and hugged her tightly.

Finally, the girl of my dreams was my girlfriend.

(Present Days)

I swear time was purposely going past slowly. I was waiting at the airport for my beautiful girlfriend of two years and 4 months, Y/N, to touch down, back from Y/H/T. (Your home town).

I knew I'd miss her so much but I didn't realise how much missing someone could actually hurt. Sure, we skyped, messaged, facetimed and talked as much as possible but it wasn't the same as actually holding my baby close to me, in my arms, where she belongs.

Finally, her flight had landed and now I just had to wait for her to walk through the gates. I remembered how we were both emotional when she left and how I was constantly telling her how much I loved her. Watching her leave was one of the most heartbreaking things for me and I felt the pain she felt everytime I went for MAGcon and for tour. It hurts more when you watch the person leave, I believe. Of course, it hurts during the time just as much but the whole 'saying goodbye,' thing wasn't my cup of tea.

I searched through the crowd of people who were coming out of the gate, looking for Y/N. After about half of the people were out, I realised she probably let everyone go in front of her as she's like that. Turns out, I was right too. She was the last person through the gates, after an older women, who was talking to Y/N about who knows what. She looked up and saw me starring at her. She smiled and excused herself from the conversation. She walked up to me and I hugged her tightly to my chest.

"I missed you so much." She mumbled into my chest.

"I missed you so much more." I said before pressing my lips against hers. Our lips moved in sycn and the normal sparks rushed through my body. I cupped her face in my hands as I deepened the kiss. She gripped my shirt tightly and it was just perfect. After a bit we broke apart and she wrapped her arms tightky around my neck.

"I love you so so so much." I said and she kissed me quickly.

"I love you too." She said and I smiled.

"Let's go home." I said as we pulled apart. I intwined our fingers and she rested her other hand on my arm. I smiled and kissed the top of her head.

"I'm so glad you're home." I said and she looked up at me.

"I'm glad I am too." She said and I leant down and pecked her lips softly.

'My babygirl's home, safe with me.'
