chapter 44

*Sana pov*

When Somi and Sammy unnie left, I place the basin at the near table and start wiping her arms, face, and neck again

I get the thermometer and place it to her armpit and continue wiping her again

She groan everytime the wet towel touch her body, I smiled sadly

"You make me worried sick Rio" I whisper as I wipe her face, the thermometer beep so I quickly take it off

"38.9" I saw her shiver so I put the towel to her forehead and put a blanket to her, when I'm done, I place a soft kiss to her cheeks before leaving her room and go downstairs with heavy heart, I don't want to see her in that state, it brokes my heart

"How is she?" Somi ask when she already saw me

"Her fever is so high, 38.9" I sigh before I sit down between Mina and Momo who's playing boo

"I think she get sick from last night, I saw her sleeping at the balcony" I mumble enough for them to hear

"Yet you didn't wake her up?" Jihyo ask and I quickly shook my head

"I did before I went inside my room" I said and I saw them nod their head

"I get going, I need to tell this to my mom so that she can visit her, maybe tomorrow or later in the evening" Somi said before she get up, Sammy stood up also

"I'll drive you home" Sammy said and they both bid goodbye

*No one's pov*

Later in the evening, the girls gather in the kitchen to eat their dinner, while eating, Jisoo spoke

"Who's gonna look after Rio tonight?" She ask, the girls look at each other

"I mean her fever still high, who's gonna be with her all night?" She explained

"I'll stay with her tonight" Jennie said coldly and not even look at them

"Hmm you sure?" Jisoo ask while smirking knowing that her friend has a thing to their bodyguard, Jennie look at her blankly before she nod her head

"Okay, tomorrow I'll stay with her, I'm not going to attend class tomorrow" Nayeon volunteer

"Me too, I want to stay with her tomorrow" Jeongyeon said, the girls look at her weirdly but she just ignore it as she continue eating

"In case her mom visit her, just let us know" Jihyo said and the two nod their head

When they had finished eating, they immediately went to their respective rooms except to Jennie who went straight in Rio's room with a small basin and towel to her hands to wipe her later

She placed it near the table before looking at her closely, she felt the towel on her forehead and felt the heat that coming from her forehead so she immediately took it and wet it with the water in the small basin she was carrying before returning it to her forehead

She sat on the edge of the bed before holding her hand and caressing it lightly while watching her sleep soundly

She also watched it for a few minutes until she thought of taking Rio's swivel chair and sitting next to her

"Please get well soon Rio, I don't want to see you in this state" Jennie said as she cares her cheeks now

Jennie felt her eyelids getting heavier so she place her arms in the bed and buried her face

Around 2 in the morning when Jennie woke up because of the groaning she heard, she sit properly as she look at Rio worriedly because the latter groaning and shivering

Jennie get the basin and wet the towel before wiping her arms and face down to her neck, she also put the back of her hand to the latter's forehead and feel the heat, she wet the towel for the last time before putting it back to Rio's forehead

But Rio shiver even more and she don't know what to do now

"It's okay Rio, Unnie is here, I won't leave you" Jennie mumble softly as she cares her arms gently, Rio utter something that she don't understand but still get after a few seconds

"Un--nie i-it's so c--cold" Rio said while shivering under the blanket

Jennie immediately stood up to her seat and hurriedly lay down next to Rio and immediately hugged her tightly

Minutes later, Rio's tremor disappeared but her fever still did not go down

Jennie stared at it intently until her gaze dropped to Rio's lips and she remembered what had happened to them the other day

She blush and immediately shifted her gaze but after a while her gaze returned to her again

Rio left a soft groan

"Jennie control your hormones, she's sick for fucking sake" she scold herself but then Rio hug her tightly as she snuggle at her, their face are inches away and Jennie felt her hot breath and her smell lingering to her nostril

She gulp while staring at her, down to her lips and later on, she notice her self leaning to Rio, she stop for a bit when their nose touch, Jennie close her eyes tightly with heavy breath

She's now battling to herself if she's going to do it or not but then she still can't control herself for leaning even more until their lips touch

Jennie felt something to her stomach when she deepen their kiss, she heard Rio let out a soft moan and later on, she felt Rio returning the kiss

She open her eyes and saw Rio kissing her back while the latter's eyes still closed

She already don't know what to do, she wanted to push Rio but the lust take over her body, so she just continue kissing her, she even didn't notice that she go on top of Rio not even breaking the kiss

Rio left soft moan again when she bite her lower lips, her kiss went down to Rio's neck

"J--jen-nie" She stop her doing when she heard Rio spoke, they both panting heavily, she look up to see Rio half lids open

"I-I'm sorry" Jennie said and immediately get down to her, Rio seems like she don't understand what's happening as she close her eyes again and drifted to sleep, Jennie on the other side, frustratingly smack her head

"Idiot! Why did you do that? She's sick for fucking sake Jennie Kim!" She curse herself while she ruffled her hair, soon as she composed herself, she lay down to the bed again but now there's a space between them

Jennie put a two pillow in the middle so that she can't see Rio's face again, she turn her back to the side, she also touch her lips before closing her eyes

"I think I'm fallen for you, deeply." Jennie thought before the darkness took over her world
