King's Cross was crowded. Even Percy, who had grown up in New York City and did not use the word lightly, would agree. Everyone was packed into roughly 9 square feet of space around them with their trunk taking up most of it. After they had gotten onto Platform 9, Mrs. Weasley instructed them to run into a brick wall. Yes, you heard that right. They were supposed to run into a brick wall. Percy wished Jason were here, he had been hit by bricks enough to be immune by now.

"You first, Percy." Said Annabeth.

"No, you." He replied, "I may be oblivious but I am most certainly not stupid."

"Neither am I."

"How about the ones that oh so wisely suggested it go first?" He said sarcastically.

Ron rolled his eyes. "Mate, just walk through it. Like this." And he walked through the brick wall, disappearing.

"Uh...that's not creepy at all. He just got eaten alive by a brick wall." said Percy, " I have not been cursed by Apollo at all." He tripped and fell over. "I totally did not just fall."

Everyone blinked. Annabeth broke the silence. "Are you okay, Percy?"

"Yeah totally. I just need an ally."

Annabeth sighed. "What did you do this time?"

"I may or may not have flattened a lyre. With a tire."

"You're an idiot, you know."

"I know. Just go."

By the time everyone had gotten through the barrier, there was only a minute until the train left. Ron and Hermione had to leave as soon as they got on the train, so Harry, Percy, Annabeth, and Ginny went to find a compartment. They settled on a compartment that contained a blond girl who seemed like she would be an eccentric daughter of Athena, and a boy who seemed like a forgetful son of Demeter. He kept forgetting his toad, but remembered everything about the little plant in his hand except the fact that it shot stinky sludge out when poked. It seemed to Percy that Harry had really bad luck, because the girl who seemed to be his crush came in right after the plant covered them all in goo. The rest of the train ride was pretty boring, a blond ferret-looking kid came in and tried to gain a new follower in Percy by trying to impress him with his father, who was apparently important in this world. After they got off the train, Percy was pulled into the woods by a strange girl about thirteen radiating power enough to be a goddess. Letting himself be pulled aside, he mentally reassured Annabeth that he was fine and would be there in a minute.

"Who are you and what do you want?" He asked the girl.

"I am Hecate, and I need to speak to you."

"I'm listening."

"Since you are a god now, all your natural demigod powers have become part of your domains."

"Yes, and?"

"One of your powers was magic because you were descended from my blessed. Therefore, you share my domain of magic, at least partially."

"Wait, so I'm a god of magic?"

"Yes, but since I had the domain first I have greater control. Besides that, wizarding magic has evolved to be different than my magic, so I would like to offer you a proposition."

"Okay...? What is it?"

"I would like to split your domain to be wizarding magic, and mine to be that of my children. there will be some overlap, so we will both have some degree of power in each other's domains, but it will be easier than sharing it totally. Your magic will be any magic that you draw from within your core, mine will be all other magic, be it from outside sources or otherwise."

"What's the catch?"

"You have the responsibility of looking after this world and keeping it from destroying itself."

"Gods dang it Hecate! You want me to keep track of all the twisted politics in this messed-up world?"

"So we have a deal?"

"Fine."

"I, Hecate Goddess of Magic, Necromancy, and Crossroads hereby give my domain of wizarding magic and sorcery to Perseus God of Greek Demigods, Hurricanes, and Loyalty."

"I, Perseus God of Greek Demigods, Hurricanes, and Loyalty accept the domain."

Thunder clapped, and Percy suddenly had knowledge of all the wizarding magic and its workings.

"I hope you keep it safe. It was splitting too much from my magic."

"I know I have to go, but could you keep this quiet, and why am I not speaking in rhymes?"

"Yes, I will keep this quiet, but may I ask why? And I lifted your curse from Apollo as an offering of peace."

"Thank you, and I would like to keep as much of my capabilities as possible secret from Dumbledore, I have a feeling he knows more than he lets on."

"Yes, I will. Now go get Sorted, or you will be missed." and Hecate disappeared, melting into mist with no noise or flash at all.

Nico was given very specific orders on what to do. Go to Hecate's wizarding world, find his brother, and remove the soul bits. He brought Darcy along as a bit of practice for her, and he was hoping for it to take no more than a week or so. But no, the horcrux in Tom just had to make its own horcuxes. Deciding he couldn't just remove the soul pice like he was planning, he shadowtraveled to Hogwarts, and hid in the rafters during the Sorting.

The enchanted hat made a song, sorted some people, and the old man he was going to kill made a speech. After the speech, he invited Percy and Annabeth to be Sorted, so Nico sent Darcy down to be sorted with them, walking behind them so as to appear part of their group. Dumbledore had a reputation to uphold, so could not just turn away what seemed to be one of the exchange students he had just announced. The hat had some seemingly odd reactions to Percy and Annabeth, not seeming to actually judge them but simply put them in a random house. After Percy and Annabeth, Darcy was put into Gryffindor. Making a mental note to talk to them all later and brief them on his information, Nico left the hall and explored the castle.
