Since my book has some very specific terminology, I've created this to look at if you come across a word and you're not sure what it means.
All words will be more or less explained in the book so try not to spoil it for yourself! But if you can't wait for it to be explained in later chapters then you can find the definitions here! I will be adding to it as I go.
SANDER- A derogatory term for someone of asian decent, usually used by Old Londoners.
RAT/MOUSE- A derogatory term for a Normal, usually poor and no magic, often used by New Londoners.
SNAKE- A derogatory term for Sorcerers, usually used by Old Londoners.
NORMAL- Someone without magic
SORCERER- Someone with magic, in possession of venom.
VENOM- A type of magic unique to the sorcerer, used with their blood. Sorcerer venom usually takes on certain properties that reflect the host.
THE MAGISTRATES- An underground organisation in Old Town that is dedicated to hunting sorcerers
THE COBRAS- An elite organisation consisting of the most powerful sorcerers in all the Continent
OLD LONDON- A rundown country where Normals live, outside the actual city of London. Split into several districts and governed entirely by New London
NEW LONDON- A technologically advanced city state where Sorcerers live. It governs all of Old London and itself as separate states.
THE CONTINENT- A Continent where Sorcerers have reformed countries so that Sorcerers are upper class and Normals Lower class. It consists of the following places:
New London and Old London
New Paris and Old Paris
New Rome and Old Rome
New Berlin and Old Berlin
New Oslo and Old Oslo
