JESSICA'S POV
I wake up at 6am to the annoying sound of my alarm clock. I stretch my arm over to my bedside table and turn off its irritating noise. As I sit up and rub my eyes, I realise that I've only got 2 hours until I have to be at the airport to fly to L.A.
I force myself to get out of bed and get ready. Before anything else, I rush over to my dresser and plug my phone into the speakers. I press 'shuffle' on Drake's album and start moving my head to the beat of the first song that begins playing.
I walk over to my closet and grab the outfit that I picked the night before to save time. I start getting dressed and put on my navy crop top, black high waisted skirt, black tights and my favourite boots. I decide to put some makeup on since I look like death whenever I wake up. Once I'm finished, I brush my hair slightly to not ruin my natural waves and I walk out of the door, grabbing my leather jacket on the way.
Once I enter the kitchen, I breathe in the smell of my favourite food. Pancakes.
"Hi Mom!" I greet her as I sit down on the stool.
"Good morning Jess, I made you some breakfast." She smiles.
"Thank you!" I say while stuffing my mouth with food considering I only had 15 minutes left until I had to leave.
After I'm done, I grab my suitcase and say goodbye to my mom as I walk out of the front door.
"Bye honey, call me when you get to L.A!" She waves to me.
"Bye Mom, I will!" I shout as I get into my small white Honda.
I plug my phone into the AUX cord of my car and play "The Weeknd - Twenty Eight".
After about 10 minutes of driving, my phone began to ring and I pressed answer without looking at the caller ID since I couldn't take my eyes off the road.
"Hello?" I answer.
"Hey Jess, it's Gilinsky. Aye listen, where are you?"
"Hi Jack, I'm driving to the airport right now because I have a flight to L.A in 2 hours."
"Can you come pick me and Johnson up? We're getting the same flight as you."
"Sure, your house right?" I ask confused. They never told me they were flying to L.A today?
"Yeah! Alright, thanks bye!" He hangs up.
I had a confused look on my face as I tried to remember if Jack had told me anything about flying to L.A and I couldn't.
Me and the Jacks had been friends since high school and they we're honestly like my two brothers. There was never any sort of chemistry between us - relationship wise. Plus, they both had girlfriends.
I wasn't too far away from Gilinsky's house, so I got there in 5 minutes. I got out of the car and walked up to his door. I rang the doorbell and both Jacks greeted me and walked out with their luggage in a matter of 30 seconds.
"Hi guys!" I said excitedly.
"Whats up Jess!" They both answered at the same time. It was almost as if they were twins or something.
"I'm sorry this was like last minute, but the person who was supposed to drive us there dropped out and we remembered that you we're getting the same flight as us." Gilinsky says.
"It's cool. Atleast now I have someone to make the journey fun." I smirk at them both.
"Haha, I know right?" Johnson replies.
As they try to fit their luggage into the boot of my car, Johnson spontaneously calls out "SHOTGUN!"
"You bastard." Gilinsky says with a smile on his face.
Johnson sits in the front seat while holding up a middle finger to Gilinsky who's still trying to fit his suitcase into the boot.
"You two are so immature." I chuckle as I get into the driver's seat.
*
After driving for about an hour full of improvised raps and jokes from the Jacks, we finally reach the airport. I park my car, we get our luggage and head inside of the airport.
We scan our bags and go through security. Once we've done that, we decide to sit down and wait for our flight.
"We've got 30 minutes left until our flight." I tell the Jacks while checking my watch,
"Dude, I'm so excited to be back in L.A." says Gilinsky.
"Me too bro. Cameron and Nash are picking us up right?" Johnson asks him.
"Who's Cameron and Nash?" I interrupt.
"They're our bestfriends from L.A, they're picking us up once we land." Johnson replies.
"Oh, alright." I say while pulling out my phone to check twitter. I searched cameron and clicked on the first suggestion that said "Followed by @jackgilinsky and @jackjackjohnson". He was super attractive, I thought to myself. I scrolled through his pictures and didn't realise that I had a huge smile on my face after looking at Cameron's pictures.
"What are you smiling at Jess?" Gilinsky asks, looking up from his phone.
"Oh, I'm just on Cameron's twitter. He's hot." I blurted out. I didn't care about what I just said because Cameron had no idea who I was, so it was okay.
Gilinsky raises his eyebrows and gives me a slight nod while turning to Johnson with a smirk on his face. I continue scrolling through twitter and look up Nash also. I didn't think he was as attractive as Cameron but he was still super handsome.
"BOARDING L.A FLIGHT IN 10 MINUTES" I hear the announcer and look to the Jacks. We grab our suitcases and head to the airplane.
