Royal Pieces

Chapter 1

"Its only gonna be for today, can't you see that?" Seraphina walks through the halls, quite annoyed at her parents. She stops at her bedroom and turns towards them. "Do you remember the last time you went on a 'Royal Meeting'? Last time you said that it would only take only a couple of days, and you know how long it took for you to come back-". "Seraphina, it did only take a couple of days." Her father interrupts her. "-Yeah, a couple of days and a month!" Seraphina closes the door in her parents faces, and locked it. Ugh! Why do they always have to go away! And my dad says only for today, ha! Like today isn't ruined enough- Her thoughts gets interrupted by 3 single knocks at the door. "Seraphina, you alright?" The girl, Daisy, who lives in the next home over, slowly opens the door, but peeps in.

"Seraphina, I'm sorry to intrude, but I heard you arguing with your parents, and I just wanna make sure that you're alright." Seraphina nodded. "I'm alright Daisy. Its just that my parents wanted to go to, yet another 'royal meeting' and they wanted to leave me with my tutor to watch over me." Daisy walks over to where Seraphina's bed is, and sat down on it. "Maybe you could talk to your parents about letting you come over to my home, so my parents can watch you, instead of your tutor." Daisy says, knowing that Seraphina hated her tutor, even when her parents were here, which was almost never. "Daisy, are you sure your parents would allow me to stay there until my parents come home?" Daisy looked at Seraphina and nods, a bit quickly. "Seraphina, my parents know you. I know that they would love for you to stay at the house until your parents come home." Seraphina smiles and hugs Daisy. "Thank you, for helping me get out of being tutor watched." Seraphina says in the middle of the hug. "You're welcome, Sera. Can you just answer this question?" "Sure, anything." Seraphina says. "Can you please let go, you're crushing me" Seraphina quickly let's go. "Sorries Daisy." Daisy nods.

***************The next morning**************

"Are you still upset about your parents going away, and leaving you here?" Daisy says in between her mouthfuls of pancakes. The girls has began to eat their way to the pile of pancakes, bacon and eggs. "Nah, not really. Besides, the pancakes are good." Seraphina tries to say good, but lands up saying goof with her mouth full of eggs and bacon. Daisy nods. "Maybe after we're done with breakfast, we can head up to the movie area to watch movies or play games?" Daisy says with he plate almost empty, as she gives the the rest of her food to the dog. "Yeah, sure." Seraphina nods, and tries to overfull herself with more bacon. "Do you think I could fit any more food inside myself?" She tries to take one more bite and quits. "You gotta stop doing that." Daisy says as she puts her plate in the sink, almost empty, without the bunch of silverware. "Stop what exactly?" She puts her fork down, and looks at her food. "Quit trying to act like you aren't full. And you don't have to eat it all, just give the rest to the dog." Daisy says, as she steals, yet another, piece of bacon from Seraphina's plate. Seraphina looks at the dog, and put the plate down on the ground so the dog can finish the food. Once the plate was clean, she put the plate in the sink. "Okay, let's go to the movie area." Seraphina starts walking down the hall, with Daisy by her side.

"Hey Sera, whoever gets the movie area first, gets to sit in the swirly chair!" Daisy says, walking a bit faster. "You're on." Seraphina says, as they both try to walk as quickly as possible, with all of the food they just ate. Daisy passes Seraphina, and sits in the swirly chair. "The chair is mine!" Daisy says, and Seraphina sits in the bean bag chair. "This chair is so floppy!!" She sits back, and sinks into the chair almost instantly. Daisy starts to laugh, while holding out a bunch of DVDs. "Wanna choose?" Daisy says. "You can, since you already won the swirly chair." Daisy nods, and holds up a DVD. "What about-" Daisy gets cut off by a knocking at the door. "Thats weird, we don't get that many visitors." Seraphina gets up. "I'll get the door, you focus on choosing the movie." Seraphina says, and Daisy nods. Seraphina moves through the halls, and is about to reach the door, until a loud bang! is heard from the outside. "Sheesh, someone is impatient!" Seraphina opens the door. "Hey what's your-?" She feels something hit her head, and she passes out...
