' WHO WERE YOU WITH" i could heat my mom yelling at my dad through the thin walls.
i sighed as a grabbed my phone unlocking it and pressing mattias contact. 'hey' was all i typed.
it was 12:30 at night and i was pretty sure mattia was sleep since he had a soccer tournament the next morning. but, i spoke too soon.
'hey, why are you awake so late?'
'parents are arguing again :/' i sighed as i probably thought he would just tell me to go back to sleep like my other friends. 'come over'
i smiled and slid on my shoes and hopped out the window. he only liked like three blocks away so it wouldn't be that long of a walk. i turned the corner and there was mattia. sitting on his steps with his head in his hands. once i got close enough for him to i guess sense my presence, he looked up at me.
he didn't say anything, he just hugged me and led the way to his room. his room was lit just from his tv light making his room not as dark as it would be.
he climbed into bed as i just stood in his room awkwardly.
he looked at me with one eye opened. 'well, you gonna get in bed or what?' i slid my shoes off and slowly got into his bed. she looked up at his ceiling with her hands crossed over her chest.
'why are you making your body so tense' mattia laughed. he wrapped his arms around her waist and snuggled into her neck. her heart started to beat at a fast rate making her start to sweat.
mattia lifted his body, 'am i making you uncomfortable?' 'n-no, just, scared.' 'well, there's nothing to be scared of, i'm here.' mattia kissed her head then layer back down putting his head back into the crook of her neck.
'i'm sorry.' 'sorry for what?' mattia said with his eyes closed. 'waking you up for something dumb'
she closed her eyes in embarrassment,
'there's nothing to be sorry for, your parents are going through something and you needed someone to talk to, nothing to feel sorry for.'
'plus, you can come watch me play tomorrow if you would like' mattia said smiling.
i laughed, 'that would be great'
he always knew how to make me feel better
