"It was a normal day and a happy one at that, I never saw it coming." I thought to myself as I lay in the hospital bed unmoving, glancing at my sister who was sleeping on the bed with me. After what just happed I mean I wouldn't blame her, she's only ten years old and already gone through enough. I looked back down at my lap looking at only one arm and hand I had, when there should be two, I started to think about all that happened just not so long ago.
TWELVE HOURS AGO
I woke up to the annoying sound of my alarm ringing through my ears like it was trying to kill me with just its sound. I quickly turned off the incessant beeping, flopping back down on my bed sheets immediately snoring as peacefully as a someone who snores like a garbage truck can.
Again I heard my alarm turning it off and checking the time realizing it was 6:15am. "Aw crap!" I screamed and legit launching myself out of bed at an alarming rate, so naturally I fell flat on my face. Scrambling up I rushed over to my closet and threw on my Arctic Monkeys hoddie some ripped jeans and my favorite black hightop boots so I can be tall and swaggy.(why did i say that)
I rushed down the stairs, grabbing some breakfast when I saw my little sister Violet bouncing down the stairs too. "Hey Vi how's the princess doing today" She brightened up and started what i like to call screeching. "Hi Hallie wally my favorist big sister in the world!!" I laughed a little and said " Violet I'm your only sister....WAIT ARE YOU SAYING YOUR REPLACING ME!!"god I love teasing her. "What are you talking about your my only sister and i love you the most!?" I tried to hold back my laughter and slumped to the floor Dramatically."it's too late for me Violet I'm already dead."
Before my sister could react to me obviously dying on the floor we heard my parents laughing on the other side of the kitchen and she ran over to them. So my sister left me for my parents....traitor, I got up off the floor and headed over to them just deciding not to eat breakfast since it was already time to go. "Hey mom and dad, nice to see you're alive." I greeted them how I normally did, I still have no idea why I say stuff like that. Probably cuz I'm glad they are. "Alright you all we gotta go before we're all late!" My mom said as she walked outside to the car all of us following her having our own conversations inside our heads. I looked up to the sky and noticed it was sprinkling a little bit.
Every one got into the car while my and by the time we got in it started pouring but we all paid no mind to it. Mom the boss lady of the house started the car "Seat belts everyone!"she yelled as we pulled off into the street. I was sitting in the back seat with Violet and noticed she had a brown paper bag in her lap"what's in the bag Vi?" I asked already knowing what it was for but I just loved hearing her talk so I didn't mind listening to her babble on about it again. "It's for my all about you bag show and tell at school! Everyone's gonna be so jealous because I took a picture of us in it so they can see how awesome you are!" I giggled a little and ruffed her cute curly hair, " Damn right I'm awesome Vi." whoops I just cursed I'm so gon-"Hallie watch you're mouth in front of your sister! You better be glad I don't pull over this car and tear you up!" she yelled at me my dad also shaking his head at my language . "Yes ma'am " I said not really wanting to get beat up or be late. I know she sounds aggressive but she means well and that she's also like every black mom that I've ever met, I laughed silently to myself at my own joke.
I Looked out the window after I finished my conversation with Violet, studying the raindrops on the familiar surface and just thinking about what could happen today. I noticed that we stopped for awhile and looked up at the stop light seeing that it was still red but the one across the left of us seeing it was yellow so it wouldn't take long I guessed. The light turned green finally but I noticed a driver rounding a corner, he drive straight into another car that was on the wrong side of the road. The driver lost control of the car and plowed into another lane that happened to be the lane we were in and drove into our car with such force that caused us to do a spin roll. Every thing seemed to just pause.
I started panicking and looked over at Violet and was about to buckle more seat belts over so she wouldn't fall out of the car her when I noticed the door was starting to fall off. I had to act fast, I didn't have enough time to buckle Violet before the door would completely come off and we'd both get thrown out of the car. "DUCK DOWN INTO A BALL!" I yelled at her as I rushed over to the door holding the door with one hand but Violet started to slide over to me. I had to hold her there just in case the door breaks off and she'll have more time to recover and hold onto something so she won't fall out just in case I don't make it.
While I was holding the door my arm started to hurt from keeping the door closed but it soon turned into something excruciating I felt my arm pop out of socket I kept my screaming to a minimum it hurt so much but I had to keep holding on or the door would open. I looked at my arm disgusted but I saw that every stitch of clothing on my right sleeve had been ripped off and not long after my arm started to tear off and started to feel the tendons and muscle in my arm tear off and before I knew it my arm was on the floor and I sat back. By that time that my arm was torn off the car stopped rolling, I sat there holding my arm where it was torn for a second when I noticed my parents were dead I closed my eyes and screamed in both pain and anguish. I started seeing dark spots in my vision while I looked over to Violet who was staring at me shaking before I slumped over and passed out.
