"You need to relax." I said laughing Ethan who was pacing back and forth in the kitchen.

"How can I relax? I'm a dead man walking." He said, throwing his hands up in the air dramatically.

"I'm telling you, just say you're sorry and then hand her your credit card. It works every time."

"What if it doesn't though? Then you are going to be all alone again and have a dead fiancé to deal with."

"You're being paranoid. In 48 hours, I will still have a perfectly healthy and alive husband. And you're going to look back at this moment and feel incredibly stupid." I said, standing up off the couch and sliding my shoes on.

"Grayson will be back from the airport in like an hour and a half." I said looking down at my watch, "I'm going to go get my romper from the dry cleaners."

"What?" He looked at me with wide eyes. "What if you're not back by the time they get here?! She'll definitely kill me then."

"Go jump in the pool or something." I sighed, getting a little annoyed at the repetitiveness of Ethan at the moment. "You need to chill."

"Can't I just go with you?" He asked, grabbing my hand to stop me from leaving.

"Umm to pick up my outfit for the not wedding-wedding? Yeah no. That's bad luck."

"But we're not even having an actual wedding, why is it bad luck if I see what you're wearing before hand?"

"Because," I said pausing trying to come up with something to say. "Because it's the principle of the thing. You just can't."

"Fine, whatever. Leave me here to accept my death. I love you, see you in the after life."

"I'm marrying a child." I said before walking out the door and towards my car.

...........

"Cover your face or go to a different room or something." I said, popping my head into the apartment and seeing Ethan standing in the kitchen.

He turned around and looked the other way while I walked into the house and ran passed him into the hallway with the garment bag in my hand. I hung it up in the closet and sighed before walking back out into the kitchen.

"How'd it go?" I asked sheepishly, knowing I'd stayed gone long enough to avoid the whole debacle.

"I apologized and that somehow turned into me paying for everything for your bachelorette party. So, have fun on me I guess." He said scratching his neck.

"See, I told you everything was going to be just fine." I said, snaking my arms around his waist and laying my head on his chest.

"I don't know how fine it's going to be for you. You're taking a nice trip on a party bus."

"A what?" I asked, looking up at him confused.

"Party. Bus." He repeated. "I've been keeping tabs on what's she buying to make sure she doesn't bleed my account dry."

"Maybe you should have just let her be mad at you." I sighed. "A party bus. When have I ever expressed that I'd ever want to spend time on a party bus?"

"Yeah, have fun with that one." He said, patting my head like I was a child.
