"Bertholdt I changed my mind I don't want to kill a titan." You said hiding behind Bertholdt. It's been three weeks since Bertholdt helped you in training and you said you wanted to kill a titan but now you changed your mind and you were terrified to go into trost district to help with the 'take back trost' thing that every one was doing it was easy you had to protect Titan Eren as he clogged the whole in the wall that was put there by the colossal titan and it's friend the armoured titan. Bertholdt turned around grabbed you by the shoulders an said "listen (y/n) you were excellent in training and you shouldn't let your fears get the best of you now, we need to be strong for our selves for the people we lost and we need to be strong for humanity." "Bert you always know what to say." You said hugging his torso a new motivation in you from Bertholdt's little speech and you felt you were ready "I'm ready now." You smiled up at him letting go of his torso "good let's go." He said bending down to kiss your nose making you smile even more. You and Bertholdt walked up to the other cadets and joined your place in line beside Bertholdt and waited for the commander shadis but the three top survey corps members showed up on the platform and every soldier did their salut "this May be nerve racking for some and others can't wait but I wish each and every one the best." Erwin said doing the salut Hanji and Levi did the same. Bertholdt and you joined Sasha Connie, Marco, Jean, Tomas, Eren, Armin, Mikasa, Annie, Reiner, Krista, Yimr, Hannah, Franz, Samuel, Nac, Mylius, Mina, Daz and and Tom. Every one was chatting "hey guys huddle up!" You yelled and every one huddle up "guys I just wanna say good luck and Eren no pressure but don't screw up." You said "give all you got and don't stop." Ymir said and every one began to say things to get everyone pumped. Eventually every one was no longer huddling "humanity on three." Eren yelled putting his hand in the middle every one joining " ONE, TWO, THREE, HUMANITY!" You all yelled giggling and smiling. You dispatched into your small groups and waited for the signal and there it was the green flare signalling Eren was titan mode and the mission began so every one took off and began to slay the titans and guide titan-Eren to the hole in the wall you and the rest of your group were distracting and luring titans there was a tall 5meter class titan you were 3DMing to get away from but it stepped on your wire making you fall in a pile of rubbish from the wreckage feeling some impale your lung and stab into your side the the titan dropped you the ground and began to hiss and steam "(y/n)" Bertholdt said dropping beside you "hey Bert." You said with a small cough blood dribbling out of your mouth "your gonna be okay." Bertholdt said putting your head in his lap "what are you kidding I was stabbed through the lung I'm not gonna seen another hour." You said as bertholdt put his forehead to yours "I love you." He said tears rolling down his face splashing your cheeks "yeah I know I love you too." You said putting your hand to his cheek he bent down and gently kissed your lips "good bye Bertholdt I'll miss you." You said and Bertholdt held you close for a few minutes then you no longer could see the light behind your eyes.
